Say hello to the young sea star named Sammy.

To bad for Sammy. A fisherman cut off his limb. Sammy is

panicking and worried about what he is going to do!!!!

“What’s goin on?” Thinks Sammy. “Hey my limb is starting to grow back.”

“Oh no what is that scary thing growing in the water over

there?!!”

Sammy is happy that is limb is all grown back. This is because he is

reproducing by asexual reproduction, without 2 parent

cells. This type is fragmentation.

He is still wondering what that weird thing is growing. The weird thing growing is his cut off limb.

Tada. Now we have 2 sea stars all thanks to fragmentation!!!!

Now Sammy’s got a friend that is just like him!!!
