Mathematics Warm-Up Use the 2 dice that you made on Week 1 Thursday. Roll the dice and use your hundreds chart or empty number line to add them. Repeat 5 times. Length Measure a piece of string/ribbon against a tape measure. Cut your string/ribbon to be 1m long. You now have a 1 metre ruler! Go and find 5 things around your house that are 1 metre in length. Draw and label them in your book.

Take a photo of your

finished work and upload it to Seesaw.

Mathematics Warm-Up Use the 2 dice that you made on Week 1 Thursday. Roll the dice and use your hundreds chart or empty number line to subtract one number from the other. Repeat 5 times. Length Go to your bedroom and estimate the distance from your door to your bed in metres. Using your ‘ruler’ from yesterday, measure the length to the nearest half-metre. Example: My bed is 2 and a half metres from the door. In your book, draw a map of your bedroom looking from above. Draw a line from the door to your bed and write the distance that you measured.

Mathematics Warm-Up Use the 2 dice that you made on Week 1 Thursday. Roll the dice and use your hundreds chart or empty number line to add them. Repeat 5 times. Addition Open-ended task: The total length of 3 ribbons is 100 cm. Work out how long each ribbon could be. Work out 3 different options. eg. 20cm + 50cm + 30cm = 100cm.

Challenge: One ribbon is about 60 cm longer than one of the others. What might the three lengths be?

In your book, copy the question and write down as many different answers as you can.

Mathematics Warm-Up Use the 2 dice that you made on Week 1 Thursday. Roll the dice and use your hundreds chart or empty number line to subtract one number from the other. Repeat 5 times. Addition Roll your dice to create an addition number sentence. You can choose to do 1, 2, 3 or 4 digit numbers - remember to challenge yourself! Write a word problem that matches your number sentence. Solve your problem, using the jump or split strategy. Do this five times. Example: 25 + 16 = Stavros had 25 beyblades. He was given 16 more for his birthday. How many beyblades does Stavros have now?

Take a photo of your

finished work and upload it to Seesaw.

Mathematics Warm-Up Use the 2 dice that you made on Week 1 Thursday. Roll the dice and use your hundreds chart or empty number line to add them. Repeat 5 times. Subtraction Dana the Dog Lady loves dogs. She once had between 20 and 30 of them. As she got older, she decided they were too much for her and gave some away to families. She kept 4 dogs: Daisy, Duke, Dahlia and Ditsy. How many dogs did she start with? How many did she give away? Record them as number sentences in your book. See how many answers you can come up with?
