DESCRIPTION
Brief description about some French wines by Claire DusseauTRANSCRIPT
There are many wines in France, all are different, whether in their taste, the maturity of the grapes, the distillation and so on. The main production in French
wines are red wines, rosé and sparkling. They are mainly producced in the southern part of France
(Bordeaux, South West, Provence and Côte d’Azur).
Château Latour
The Château Latour is one of the
first producers that were classified
in 1855. This is a 65ha vineyard
located in the Medoc. It is based
at a château and has the
appellation of controlled origine
(AOC). The Château Latour is
located in the heart of Medoc
vineyards, about 50km north-
west of Bordeaux, where the
famous Bordeaux vineyards are.
It is on this land that for centuries
with love and knowledge, men and
women grow and produce one of
the best red wines in the world.
Domain of Costes in Bergerac, produces rosé. The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed upon receipt of at cellar (place where they make rosé wine)
After settling naturally (filtration) the wines are fermented with yeasts on the grapes. It is because of all these steps each year that the rosé wines are obtained.
Domain St André de Figuière is in an area that produces red wine. This estate is a family affair, Alain Combard is a man born in Provence, and wine producing runs in his veins. As expected, the two children he had took over the company along with Delphine François . Now the one that holds the reins of this is business is Delphine, the eldest daughter.
In conclusion the wine is very famous in France. This is quality wine produced. We are proud of our region for these wines and the multiple distilations! Visitors are happy to taste the wines of France
