Frank Lloyd Wright Newsletter November 2018 A Note From The Principal Dear Families and Friends of FLW, It's hard to believe that we have closed another month of the 2018/19 school year. The students and staff of FLW have been very busy with learning, conferences, eld trips, sports, and other student activities. I have a feeling the end of the school year will be here before we know it! I want to send a huge THANK YOU to all of the parents that attended our "Bring your parent to school" day!! We had almost 300 family members attend, which is almost double to what we had last year. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, which makes me proud of the school and staff. Our goal and purpose was to have the families experience what your students live everyday at FLW, in which I hope we succeeded. Our 7th and 8th graders have had the opportunity to attend our eld trips to Madison to experience the Capital, Veteran's Museum, and eating lunch at the Student Union at the University of Wisconsin. The feedback from our students has been very positive and they have enjoyed this great learning experience. Looking ahead to the month of November, we have several dates to keep in mind. 11/7 - End of First Quarter 11/8 - Fundraiser Pick-up 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. in our cafeteria - Safe and Supported Workshop for parents/grandparents/guardians 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. 11/13 - Choir Concert 7:00 p.m. - 1st Quarter Report Cards posted on Skyward at 5:00 p.m. 11/15 - Orchestra Concert 7:00 p.m. 11/20 - PTA Dine Out Fundraiser at Panda Express 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. 11/21 - 23 - No School - Thanksgiving Break 11/30 - PTA Fall School Dance 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Again, I want to thank all of the families for being active roles in their students' learning. Being a team is crucial for your child's future!
