A Natural Law

is a fundamental principle which governs the cause and effect of human behavior.

1st Natural Law a successful distributor is willing to do that which an unsuccessful distributor is not willing to do.

Time the occurrence of events in sequence; one after another

~Albert EinsteinThe Basic Element of Time is: AN EVENT

Therefore the Key to Managing Time is: EVENT CONTROL

Events over which I have no control Events over which I have controlWeather my own actions & moodsTraffic my attitudeOther people my health

The Control Continuum

Adapt THE EFFECTS OF CONDITIONING----------------------------------------------

1) there are events we can control but believe that we can’t2) there are events we cannot control but believe we can

^ ^No Control Total Control

US!

A Natural Law: (INNER PEACE)

Inner peace is having serenity balance and harmony in our lives achieved through the appropriate control of events.

The Franklin Productivity

Tri-quation: Event Control

High Productivity This element isthe easiest to attack!

High Self-Esteem

SELF-ESTEEM ^ EVENT CONTROL ^

Planning is: Predetermining a course of events.

Excuses FOR NOT PLANNING:

Planning limits freedomPutting out today's fires takes precedenceThere isn't time to plan

Two fallacies of time: 1) We think we're going to get more of it!2) We think we can save it somehow

*What am I presently doing with the magic 3 hours. (can be any 3 hours of our day) Extract 10-15 minutes to devote to formal planning.

COMMITMENT "I will spend 10-15 minutes every single day in planning and solitude."

Steps in Effective Planning:1) Review long-range goals - plan; have a destination2) Evaluate time VS tasks - No. of tasks to fit in each day3) Set specific daily goals - know where you're going everyday4) Anticipate obstacles - what might get in our way5) Prioritize tasks - most valued tasks first - order of value

Prioritizing is identifying the appropriate value and order of events.

LASER THINKING

Focus your thinking during the planning & solitude time - ask yourself, "..what really, are my high priorities" and "..what am I going to do about them?"

TASKSThe Vital Few ------------------ A High Value - Vital - MUST Be Done. The trivial Many --------------- B Medium Value - Important SHOULD be done

^------------- C Low Value - Trivial - COULD be done*Tasks, when assigned with values are given a greater meaning.

But Remember: URGENT <not equal to sign> VITAL

A Natural Law: when your behavior is in concert with your values, you will experience optimal event control and have a credible claim to inner peace.

Dedicate an entire week for each value and mentally focus on it. Cycle through the values over and over.

*WHAT WOULD I CROSS THE 'I' BEAM FOR?"Use the above statement to identify really what your governing values are."

Identify your very own values then prioritize them.Spend 5-7 hours

Governing Values Are: Those principles and qualities that are of highest priority.VALUES => Long Range Goals

The Goal Setting Process

Two Natural Laws:

1) We tend to move to your comfort zone2) To reach a goal we must leave a comfort zone (adventure)

NO EFFORT <ME> EFFORT---------->>>>> ---------->>>>>

COMFORT ZONE

In 1936 when Social Security was inaugurated 16:1today 3:1future 1:1

The ^ cement on this side ^The cement on this side is wet!is rock hard. History that It doesn't harden till we get tocannot be changed. that point.

We have total control over one increment of time: RIGHT NOW!

Keys to Effective Goal Planning:1) Goals are supported by your governing values2) Goals are time dimensioned3) Goals are clearly and specifically defined4) You feels that you own the goal.5) You are realistic

Q: AM I WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE?

COMFORT ZONES (ALL KINDS OF THEM)Physical, Mental, Financial, Spiritual, Social, Emotional, Psychological

When moving into the second block of the pyramid and identifying long range goals you come face to face with the PRICE!

*The Intermediate Goal

1st Block { Value: FINANCIAL WELLNESS

{ LONG RANGE GOAL:2nd Block { It is October 13 2008 and I am financially independent

{ PRIORITY INTERMEDIATE GOALS (Daily Tasks) DEADLINES3rd Block { Life Ins

{ Health Identify 35 tasks that are going{ Investment Portfolio to be performed between us{ Savings Plan and that arrow.{ Budget

"He who has a 'WHY' can bear almost any 'HOW' "

Goal Categories (select the one that has the greatest urgency by putting an asterisk beside it.)
