Dear Sisters, I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer. It’s that time of when we start to have all of our family functions. I hope that everyone enjoyed the Family Picnic; as always the food was awesome. Thank you to the Board of Trustees for hosting this annual event, we appreciate all that you do for this event. The next event is the Hoedown hosted by the Aerie and the Eagle Riders it is Satur-day September 8th from 3pm to 8 pm. We hope that everyone comes out and has a great time. The band that will be performing is called Taylor Tucky. The Eagle Riders will be cooking the food – they will be having Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and Smoked Sausages, chips, chili and sauerkraut. Come out for good music and good food. October 22nd is the children’s Halloween party from 1-3pm. We will be having games and food for the children. If you are interested in volunteering we would
appreciate it. There will be a sign-up sheet so we can make sure we have stuff for all of our children. If your child has an allergy to anything please let us know so
that we can accommodate them. November 3rd at 6:00 pm we will be having a fun night at the club it is called Hee-Haw. Come as your favorite Hee-Haw character and you could win a prize. Please bring a dish to pass. There is no cost for this activity it is club members bring food and having a good time together. See Sue Delongchamp for more infor-
mation. The Ladies Auxiliary purchased a new PlayScape for the children of our club. It is a beautiful gift and we hope the children enjoy it for a long time to come. Thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary for always doing your part for the betterment of our club and families. Sincerely, Madam President -Toni Watkins
Fellow Eagles, Well September is here. We have children returning to school. Be care-ful when driving around school and make sure to stop for stopped school buses. Remember it could be your child or grandchild. The Hoedown is coming up on Sep 8th. It is going to be a fun time for all. We will have hot dogs and hamburg-ers being prepared by the Eagle Riders. There will be music from the top country band in the state of Michigan, Taylor Tucky. Tickets are on sale for $10.00 and $15.00 the day of the event. Tickets for the Semper Fi Fund Fundrais-er will go on sale on Sept 10th $20.00 and the next planning meeting will be on Sept. 10.
I am presently looking to for people to re-place two positions for my board. I am currently looking for An Auditor to re-place Barbara Tomlinson, who has been in that position for over a year. I am also looking for a person to sit on the enter-tainment committee. Anyone who is in-terested in either one of these positions, Please contact me in person on by phone 734-383-6160.
Fraternally, John Watkins -Worthy President

EAGLE RIDERS 3996 NEWS
Most important things first
HOE Down September 8, 2018 featuring Taylor Tucky country band. A band of national reputation that Gary Smith was able to get for our HOE Down. They are well known and gaining in fame this is a chance to see them at comfortable pricing. Also featured will be food served by the Eagle Riders of Aeries 3996. Food to be prepared by our own Noah Caincross. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, not firmed up yet but maybe chili and sausages. All the main food accou-terments i.e. onions, mustard and the usual.
Eagle Riders annual HOG Roast September 15, 2018. Again food by Noah Caincross. Please see Eagle Riders at the Aeries and at the HOE down for tickets. The tickets are raffle tickets for cash prizes and you do not have to attend to win. We will have our usual roast pork, beans and much more. Additional items of im-portance, 50/50 raffles, baskets will be raffled and oth-er popular items will be raffled during the course of the afternoon and evening.
Not most important things but well worth sharing
Those of you who have been in the smoke room recently have noticed a much larger TV with a sound bar, meaning you can hear and see it. Donated by the Eagle Riders of Aeries 3996, It was installed by John Neal, Mike Williamson, Jeff Gueli and Jack Bogan.
There have been several suggestions that we (Eagle Riders Aeries 3996) have a winter Steak Roast. The Eagle Riders Aeries 3996 are discussing this, more to come. Also in the talking stage is possible trip to Greek Town Casino this winter. Please keep your ears and eyes open for these potential events.

The Entertainment Com-mittee is looking for Volun-
teers. If you are interested in helping with future events, please see Tela Fountain or
John Watkins.
Every September, the Aerie faces our larg-est payment of the year - the summer property taxes. This bill has consistently been well over $10,000, and this year we expect it to be the same.
To help pay that bill we're holding a Hoedown on September 8, 2018, fea-turing Taylor Tucky. A flyer with infor-mation is included in this newsletter, check it out!
Our Aerie depends on everyone's partici-pation in order to pay the bills, and
members have always stepped up to help in the past.
Thank you in advance for step-ping up again.
