5 Essentials Survey Please take a look at the attached letter regarding the 5 Essentials Survey conducted by the state each year. If you have not done so already, please take several minutes to follow the directions in the letter and fill out the survey on-line. Thank you.
After School Pick-Up We have been asked by the Grayslake Police Department to alter our after school pickup so as to not block Frederick Road. If you are picking up your child after school, you can no longer wait on Frederick Road for dismissal. If the circle drive out front is full, we ask that you pull into the main parking lot and either walk up to pick up your child, or wait for the circle drive to empty out, and then pull around into the circle. Thank you for your cooperation.

Student Council Fundraiser Student Council is again collecting donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The official dates are January 29-February 9. We will be collecting money (Bills and Change) during lunch periods. The LLS has also made classroom pages and it says that you can start collecting online, so we can start getting donations now. Our school goal is to beat last year's donations of $7,026.24. Prizes are: The classroom with the most total donations wins an Olive Garden pasta party for 35 people (It includes pasta, breadsticks, and salad. Schools who raise $1,500 or more earn Amazon gift cards as well for the school to purchase needed items. If you want your child to set up their own giving pages, there are directions for them on the class page. If a student raises $50 on their own page, they earn a t-shirt. If a student raises $100 on their own page, they earn free Olive Garden for the whole year! (I'm guessing a kids meal each time or something). Thanks for helping contribute to this worthy cause! http://events.lls.org/pages/il/Frederick-School-2018
After School Spanish New Fun Fluency Immersion Spanish! Join Fun Fluency on an afterschool aventura of learning a new language—the way your brain was meant to learn it! Don’t miss out on your child’s window of opportunity to learn a language with ease at a young age. Classes are taught by native speakers and experienced/certified Spanish teachers. Students learn Spanish naturally through immersion, movement, games, songs, rhythm, reading, and acting out/listening to stories. Our storytelling-based method focuses on long-term retention, not just memorization. Students will quickly see how fun and easy it is to understand, read, and write in Spanish while being immersed in language, play, and laughter. This opportunity introduces your student to the many advantages of becoming bilingual and culturally aware at a young age. Check out all the fun we’re having with fluency at www.funfluency.com. Class tuition includes a workbook, take-home and online activities for continued practice at home. Class size is limited!
