Road rageThe Merritt RCMP received a report
of a road rage incident, the suspect ve-hicle was reported to be travelling north towards Merritt on the Coquihalla Hwy.
Multiple reports were received regard-ing the suspect’s driving, ie tailgating & driving aggressively. One of the com-plainants reported that an occupant in the vehicle was waving a handgun around.
Police converged on the area and con-ducted a high-risk vehicle stop at the junction with the Connector. Three males were taken into custody without inci-dent. The investigation is in its infancy, however the handgun has been deter-mined to be a BB gun that could easily be mistaken for a firearm.
Roger Sloan tied for lead at Wyndham
Roger Sloan is tied for the lead after he shot a career-low 62 in the first round of the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Champion-ship in North Carolina, on Thursday.
Sloan’s previous best round on the top tour was a 64 at last year’s Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico.
At 8 under, he was tied with Ameri-cans Harold Varner III and Tom Hoge to-ward the end of the first round. —cbc.ca
Police round-upTools & IT equipment found
The Merritt RCMP recovered some telecommunication equipment and a tool kit in the area of Eastwood Ave / Castil-lou Crescent on August 11th. The items are believed to be associated to an unre-ported theft. If you believe these might be your items call the Merritt RCMP at (250) 378-4262 to claim the items.Wanted: Colter Tobias William
A warrant was issued Wednesday for the arrest of Colter Tobias William, 33 years old, known to reside in the Mer-ritt/Ashcroft areas. He is charged with Uttering threats and two counts of Breach of Probation. If you have any info on the whereabouts of William please call 911 or Merritt RCMP 378-4262.Bike B&E’d On Tuesday, Merritt RCMP responded to a report of a B&E to a garage that had occurred overnight on Pineridge Drive. The thieve(s) made off with a spe-cialized road bike. Police would like to remind citizens to report suspicious activity at the time it is noted even if the hour is very late as this will greatly improve the odds of catching thieve(s) in the act. If you have any information in relation to this incident please call the Merritt RCMP (250) 378-4262 or Crime Stoppers.B&E and a nap RCMP received a report of a B&E near Petit Creek. The landowner noted the B&E to a shop and that he had located an unknown bicycle on his proper-ty — suspected the culprit(s) might still be on the property. Officers responded and found the suspect asleep in a travel trailer on the property. The male, who is well-known to the local detachment, was arrested without incident. He is being held for court and police are recommending one count of Break & Enter.

A Shower of Meat Three dinosaurs stumble across a magic lamp. They rub it and a genie ap-pears. “I have three wishes, so I’ll give one to each of you,” the genie announces. The first dino-saur thinks hard. “Alright,” he says, “I’ll have a big, juicy, piece of meat.” Instantly, the biggest, juiciest piece of meat he’d ever seen appears in front of him. Not to be outdone, the second dinosaur thinks even harder. “I know! I’ll have a shower of meat!” Immediately, huge pieces of meat rain down around him. The third dinosaur, certainly not to be outdone, thinks harder than
the previous dinosaurs. “I’ve got it!” he cries, “I want a MEATIER shower!GARAGE SALES - AUG 15 & 16
