YOU WILL NEED:Fabric: Brocade, Satin, Embroidered Doupioni or TaffetaLining: Lining FabricInterfacing: Sew-In InterfacingNotions: One 9" Zipper; 1¼ yards of ¼" Pearls by the Yard
INSTRUCTIONS:1. Pin INTERFACING 1 to wrong side of each FRONT and BACK 1 section, having edges even. Baste. Note: Interfacing will not be shown in the following illustrations.
2. Turn in seam allowance on upper edge of each front and back, ceasing in fullness; press. Baste in place.
3. Stitch front and back sections togetherat sides.
4. Lap pressed edge of one front and back section over zipper, centering pressed edge over zipper teeth and placing stop at large . Baste. Prickstitch ¼" (6mm) from pressed edge.
5. Apply remaining pressed edge to zipper in same manner.
6. Open zipper. Stitch lower edges of front and back together.

7. Fold lower corners, as shown, matchingseams. Stitch.
8. Turn right side out; press.
9. With right sides together, fold POCKET 2 in half, as shown. Stitch, leaving an opening.
10. Turn right side out; press.
11. Place pocket on one front and back LINING 1 section, matching small ’s. Baste. Stitch close to sides and lower edges.
12. Prepare remainder of lining in same manner as bag, disregarding referenceto zipper.
13. With wrong sides together, pin lining to bag. SLIPSTITCH pressed edges of lining to zipper tape.
14. Tack ends of pearls tosides at large ’s.
