What  would  you  do  if  you  overheard  an  elderly  couple  in  the  pet  aisle  of  agrocery  store  debating  whether  the  tuna  or  salmon  flavors  would  make  a  bettersupper?  If  you  were  Judy  Ukasick,  you  would  take  your  cart  up  and  down  theaisles  filling  it  with  food,  paying  for  it  and  putting  it  in  the  couple's  car  tellingthem  to  call  her  if  they  ever  needed  help  again.    This  is  just  one  of  many  acts  ofkindness  that  Judy  unselfishly  administered  during  her  all  too  short  stay  on  thisearth.  I  knew  Judy  and  her  partner,  Carol  Lund,  for  years.  They  held  a  special  interestin  stones  and  would  come  into  Free  Spirit  on  occasion  and  light  up  my  day.  Judywould  relay  stories  of  how  they  would  go  to  Arkansas  and  dig  crystals  that  theywould  put  in  their  yard.    She  always  had  a  sparkle  in  her  eye,  a  kind  word  in  hersmile  and  I  admired  her  pluck  and  tenacity  as  she  dealt  with  life's  challenges.  Judy  lost  her  challenge  with  cancer  on  February  27th  at  the  young  age  of  63.  Thelast  time  I  saw  her  and  Carol  last  fall,  Judy  was  set  to  go  to  the  Cancer  Instituteof  America  for  a  very  rigorous,  cutting  edge  procedure  that  she  believed  wouldgive  her  more  years  with  her  lovely  partner.    Even  in  her  pain  and  discomfort,Judy  did  not  complain,  she  did  not  feel  sorry  for  herself  and  she  felt  at  peacewith  her  life.    I  will  never  forget  her  tenacity  in  dealing  with  her  condition  as  I  willnever  forget  her  tenacity  in  treating  people  with  kindness.      Judy  was  a  wonderful  teacher  for  me  and,  as  I  sat  in  church  for  her  memorialand  listened  to  the  stories  being  told  about  her  love  for  others,  I  came  away  achanged  person.    I  wish  I  could  have  told  her  how  she  affected  my  heart  and  howI  vowed  that  day  to  follow  in  her  footsteps  to  treat  others  kindly  and  withcompassion.  I  don't  think  I  would  have  filled  my  cart  for  that  elderly  couple  asshe  had  then  but  I  certainly  would  now.    Thank  you,  Judy,  for  sharing  your  magnificent  life  with  us  and  for  teaching  usthat  quiet  kindness  is  an  everyday  act.    I  am  blessed  for  having  known  you._____________________________________________________________________

DaEl  Walker  Returns!!!!

   

DaEl  Walker  is  returning  for  a  limited  engagement  on  Thursday,  May  1st  and

Friday,  May  2nd.  He  will  be  doing  healing  sessions  both  days  and  a  class  on

Thursday  night.    We  have  slots  for  7  slots  open  each  day  at  $85  each  for

sessions  at  9:00,  10:00,  11:00,  1:00,  2:00,  3:00  and  4:00.    

 

The  theme  for  his  class  on  Thursday  night  is  "DaEl  Walker  Unleashed!  -­  A

Crystal  Night  to  Remember!"  DaEl  will  give  a  lecture  and  then  you'll  be  able  to

ask  questions  for  the  rest  of  the  night.    You  can  ask  him  about  anything  crystals

including  skulls,  healing  properties,  Atlantis  and  Lemuria,  healing  techniques,

the  science  of  crystal  healing  or  anything  else  that  you  can  think  of.

 The  cost  of  the  class  is  $50.00.

House  Concert  with  Tret  Fure

Wednesday,  July  9I'm  thrilled  to  bring  Tret  Fure  to  Free  Spirit  Crystals  for  apicnic  supper/house  concert  on  July  9th.    For  only  $20.00you  will  receive  dinner,  a  meet  and  greet  with  Tret  and  anawesome  concert.    Tret,  my  guitar/song  writing  teacher,began  her  professional  career  at  the  age  of  16,  moving  to  LAto  perform  with  Spencer  Davis  and  opening  for  such  bands  as  Poco,  Yes,  and  the  G.Geils  Band.  She  subsequently  went  on  to  form  a  solo  career  and  record  over  15  CDsof  original  music.    She  is  an  amazing  guitarist  and  song  writer  who  inspires  heraudiences  with  her  lyrics  and  melodies.

   Dare  To  Be  Aware  Fair  -­  Sunday,  April  4

9:00  -­  5:00    $6.50Held  at  the  Mitchell  Park  Conservatory,  commonly  known  as  "The  Domes,"  the

Dare  to  be  Aware  Fair  is  an  annual  gathering  of  ~60  exhibitors  focused  on

expanding  well-­being,  joy,  growth  and  vitality.  Free  workshops,  performances

and  demonstrations  give  you  opportunities  to  learn  more  about  the  exhibitors

and  other  providers.  I'll  be  there  with  a  booth  and    present  a  free  talk  at  11:45.
