Nick will draw from Max Kelsen’s research partnership with Brisbane-based genomiQa, whose areas of collaboration include developing improved models to predict how individual patients are likely to respond to various cancer treatments.

PreventIT: The role of technology in preventing accelerated functional decline

Professor Andrea Maier explains how the PreventIT healthy ageing program is managing the prevention of age-related diseases and functional decline. The PreventIT project has adapted the lifestyle-integrated exercise programme (LiFE) and developed an intervention in two modes for healthy young older adults at risk of accelerated functional decline. The intervention targets balance, muscle strength and physical activity and is delivered via a smartphone application (eLiFE) or by use of paper manuals (aLiFE).
