Page 2: Freedom

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send

forth Your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall renew the

face of the earth.

Page 3: Freedom

O God, who has taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit, we may be always truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation

through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Freedomaccording to the Catechism of the Catholic Church

• 1731 Freedom is the power, rooted in reason and will, to act or not to act, to do this or that, and so to perform deliberate actions on one's own responsibility. By free will one shapes one's own life. Human freedom is a force for growth and maturity in truth and goodness; it attains its perfection when directed toward God, our beatitude.

Page 8: Freedom

• 1732 As long as freedom has not bound itself definitively to its ultimate good which is God, there is the possibility of choosing between good and evil, and thus of growing in perfection or of failing and sinning. This freedom characterizes properly human acts. It is the basis of praise or blame, merit or reproach.

Page 9: Freedom

• 1733 The more one does what is good, the freer one becomes. There is no true freedom except in the service of what is good and just. The choice to disobey and do evil is an abuse of freedom and leads to "the slavery of sin."

(Rom 6:17)

A Proclamation for Self-Forgiveness

Today, I make a choice to forgive ME.I know that God has forgiven me. I don’t have to be perfect for me to love ME. I am a very good person

because God made me very good. As God loves me, so do I love ME. I no longer need to condemn ME. I am

forgiven by God, and I forgive ME, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

6. Get Rid of Toxic Faith

Distorted Image of God: He’s Judgmental

Distorted Understanding of Faithfulness:You’re Legalistic

Distorted Image of Self: You Feel Condemned

Distorted Faith: You Practice Hyper Faith

Distorted Faith System:You Become Spiritually Abused

Page 49: Freedom

Choose REAL FAITH

Toxic Faith – imagines God as a Judge that condemns and forces us to follow Him,

using threats and intimidation.

Real Faith – imagines God as patiently waiting for His child to leave his “cave” so

He could give Him his needs, to be blessed and loved.
