Freedom in Japan By Andres del VillarThe Japanese Flag

Where is Japan?

Freedom

Political Freedom The Constitution provides citizens with the right to change their government peacefully.

Citizens exercised this right in practice through periodic, free, and fair elections held on the basis of their own thoughts and opinion.

Political Freedom The country is a parliamentary democracy governed by a political party or parties able to form a majority or votes freely without corruption.

Parliamentary democracy means that It is basically a democracy having a parliament. The party that gets the majority of the votes has the right to be elected.

Political Freedom

Individual Freedom The Constitution provides for the freedom of movement within the country, foreign travel and immigration as an individual.

The Japanese Citizens have the right to travel freely across the country and to the exterior.

They can change place of residence to emigrate as individuals. The constitution allows it and they have the right to do it.

Individual freedomThis is a government that gives lots of freedom to the citizens, however this turns out to be worse than it can seem

The amounts of suicide and rape rates are high in japan.

The woman are not given the same amount of rights as men are. There is more violence towards them Freedom Of Religion The Japanese Constitution provides freedom of religion.

The government or constitution are not against any religion. They are very open to the people with what they follow.

Out of the whole population of japan, the most religions the people follow tend to be Buddhists and Shinto.

Those are the most common however there are exact facts. Freedom of religion Out of the Whole population, 107 million persons identify themselves as Shinto, 91 million as Buddhist, 3 million as Christian, and 10 million follow "other" religions. Other religions are not seemed a much however, they are somewhat respected.

Freedom Of Speech The Japanese Constitution provides for freedom of speech and of the press.

The Japanese government does a decent job with freedom of speech toward their country, the people have the right to say and determine what is better for their country.

The government will hear it.

Freedom Of SpeechThey will be heard with no censorship or restraint and their say will be taken into consideration.

But it also involves religion, it depends on the religion someone follows

Thats were religion and its freedom comes into place for the Japanese. Thats something the government doesnt follow about the constitution.

Freedom Of Speech

Economical FreedomCurrency is the Japanese Yen

The economy of Japan is the third largest in the world by nominal Gross domestic product.

They spend the most on their infrastructure and it is clearly showed by looking at their cities.

Economical Freedom Japan has a positive growth in economical freedom, eve though the dropped on the rankings in 2013.

It still hold on to its spot as the 6th most free country in the AsiaPacific region.

This means the freedom in economy is still the same, they are enforcing women into the workplace of econmy. This means that freedom of econmy applies for everyone in a sense where no one can complain.

Their economy has also grown this year even though it decreased last year.

Japan still flourishes in trade exports and also in agriculture giving a big boost into their economy.

Economical freedom This chart shows japans GDP until 2012, they were number 2, now they just moved to number three but econmy and its freedom hasnt changed much.

Violence And Rape Against WomenStatistics reported 2,472 rapes in a year. This country has the highest numbers on raping There were 12,568 cases of alleged domestic violence and 1,499 restraining orders issued in that same year. The women get decremented in japan in many places like the workplace or even at their home. One of the worst countries in freedom toward women. Suicide Rates Japan is number 10 in suicde rates, the reason it can catch an attention is that by time the have gotten worse. This stat only shows women, this has to do with violence and rape towards them.

Number of suicides per 10000 people every year. 10 Japan 21.7 2013
