freedom writers

The 26 th of November 2014 Dear diary, Thinking about the movie I saw today seems to me a nice returning to the past. I’m living again the nervousness, the happiness, the sadness-all caused by watching “The freedom writers”. I still can’t believe that such different kids were brought together by only one woman. I can’t forget Eva talking about her problems and I can’t forget that those kids were fighting with their lives everyday - but what’s worse is that things like murder in street with no guilt or losing friends in battles between gangs happen in the real life. How could a kid live with no help and no love from their parents? I think this movie has such an impact on its viewers because it presents facts from the real life and it also shows us things we couldn’t think that a kid has to pass through while we make a drama from corny things like “I can’t wear this today, I don’t like this kind of food”. The way of building a strong team was nicely presented with happy and sad moments, with tears and large smiles, but what’s important is that the team wasn’t a team anymore but a real family with children capable to understand what other troubles and thoughts are and trying to fix them together. Not even the orders of some experienced teachers could separate them from their teacher. In the end I just wish I could read the book written by them, a book which explains the efforts and the struggle lived by everyone. I also wish we had a trip together or went one day to their school or anything that could make me meet them. For a few hours “Freedom writers” made me realize that I have nothing to complain about but I have to respect and help much more those people who live a nightmare everyday- I finally know that a bit of compassion and importance will mean a lot for them. Yours,
