Dear Ms Gruell,I am writing to you as a result of seeing the film "Freedom writers" that tells your story of success. I am a highschool student like any other and I must say I was very impressed.In the first place, I confess I wish I had a teacher like you, so wonderful and patient and brilliant. You teach your students a lesson of life, and not for school. I met very few teachers who could do that. You are a source of inspiration for us all.In the second place, I must admit I didnt think you would make it. It was an incredible relief to see how your students started to change and how dedicated they became to something they believe in. And all that because of you.So, I would like to receive a reply from you answering these questions: how did you become so committed to your class? Why didn't you lose hope from the start?
