Main Objectives

- Add supplemental NRT GPS stations in France for real time assimilation at a regional scale (50 km spacing between GPS).

- Densify the transect between all supersites for tomographic inversions (pixel size: 10 km in horizontal and 500m in vertical).

- Dense instrumentation from the valleys to the crest to measure orographic moisture fluxes and convergences.

- IASI retrievals of moisture validation

6 NRT + 16 non-NRT French GPS installed for the 3 months of the COPS field experiment

To be done before June:

- Site survey for the french GPS in Germany (a German speaking help is welcome!)

- Coordination with other ground networks (Flux, Mesonet, Sodar)

- NRT communication and data processing tests

- Installation of the GPS stations in late May.
