Directions:
1. Cut cards apart, cutting the solid and dotted lines
2. Emergent reader may match the word and picture to the intact card
3. Independent readers may match just the word to the picture (2 cards)
4. Cards may be used in a game similar to “Old Maid” and player with the most 3 card
sets wins.
5. Or, use as a “Go Fish” game, putting all cards upside down, players being with
5 cards each.
6. For independent work, set up on trays Montessori style as shown in the pictures below.
