WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23Catholic vs. Goucher 7 p.m.Susquehanna vs. Moravian 7 p.m.Juniata vs. Elizabethtown 7 p.m.Drew vs. Scranton 7 p.m.

1 Elizabethtown won both matchups with Drew last season and improved to 6-2 all-time versus the Rangers. Mikayla Ruth scored a career-high 26 points in the Blue Jays’ win at Drew a year ago.

2 For the second consecutive game, a player set a new career-high in points for Elizabethtown. After reigning Landmark WBB Athlete of the Week Lydia Lawson went for 37 points last Saturday at Susquehanna, sophomore Veronica Christ scored a career-high 27 points for the Blue Jays in a big con-ference win over Catholic at Thompson Gymnasium on Wednesday. Christ shot 10-for-20 from the floor, including 4-for-6 from deep, to help E-town to a 75-64 win over the Cardinals.

Only five players in the Landmark currently average 15.0 ppg or more, and two of them sport Elizabethtown jerseys. Lawson is third in the conference while Christ is fifth. Christ is also second in field goal makes per game (6.1).

3 Drew returns four of its five starters from the 2017-18 team that finished 12-13 (4-10 Landmark). The Rangers have their top two scorers from last season back in senior Hailey Stine and sophomore Julia Ramos. Ramos is the conference leader in assists per game and second in steals per game. Stine is among the top three-point shooters in the Landmark.

The Blue and Green have recorded impressive wins at Catholic and at Moravian as they sit in a tie with Elizabethtown for third in the Landmark standings. The Rangers beat Rowan in overtime and Immacu-lata in Florida over winter break and are winners of 4 of their last 6 overall, including two straight league victories.

4 Ruth and Marissa Emlet also played an important role in the Jays’ win over Catholic. Both juniors, they each collected double-doubles for E-town. Ruth ended wtih 13 points and 11 rebounds while Emlet posted 13 points and 10 rebounds. Emlet remains top-three in rebounding while Ruth maintains her position as one of the top three-point threats in the conference at 50 percent.

5 The Blue Jays will go on the road and head to Huntingdon, Pa. to take on Juniata on Wednesday, January 23, at 7 p.m.
