I am so excited to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year. This will be the greatest school year especially if we all put forth an abundance of energy and dedication to Rosary Academy. I know that we all have a million dreams, but together we can make Rosary and our world a wonderful place. This year we will launch our wellness initiative and work to find balance of mind, body, and soul. At the core of all we do is our faith and our role model Mary, our Mother, will be there to guide us. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, said “In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.” Her words powerfully capture the important wisdom about how to approach life and education to make it more fulfilling and significant. Teaching and learning offer us numerous opportunities to focus on a number of “small things” that culminate over time to produce “great things.” With this in mind, let us all set out to make the 2018-2019 school year, one that will inspire us all. We will start our journey at Freshman Orientation on Friday, August 10th. This is a mandatory day for all incoming freshmen. All students are to report to the Karcher Center by 7:30 a.m. Uniforms are not required, however attire MUST be modest and appropriate for school. All reasonable steps will be taken to as-sure the integrity, confidentiality, and random nature of the process. Rosary Academy will also ask students to submit to a drug and/or alcohol test if there is reasonable suspicion, which is defined as a reasonable belief that a student may have drugs and/or alcohol in her possession or in her blood system. For students whose test is determined posi-tive and who have a medical history demonstrating the need for regular use of a prescription drug or over-the-counter medication, a medical verification signed by a licensed medical practitioner will be required.
