n’t received a renewal letter please let me know ASAP.

list of unpaid member to the bartenders and they will not
serve you until you pay your dues. We still have a few
sons’ emails that are not working. If you are not getting
yours by email please let me know. Anyone who is not
receiving your newsletter via e-mail please drop me a
note and we will get it fixed.
Attention all Sons we have the third Wednesday
night bingo at the Legion. We need more help 3-7:30.
We need help with set up as well as in the kitchen.
We need more Sons to attend our meetings we
have a busy year ahead of us.
If any Sons member would like anything put in
our news please let me know. You can leave me a note in
our mailbox or call me 679-8361 and we will get it in the
newsletter. We would like to see as many sons attend the-
se meeting so we can get some new ideas of things to do.
We have a very busy year ahead so please come and help.
Here is a list of the next few meetings. THEY START
AT 7:00, NOTE THEY ARE ON TUESDAYS NOW.
The last meeting will be June, 26 till September.
I would also like to extend my thanks to all of the
Sons who have helped with our fund raisers. There
seems to always be the same few members who help.
The annual cash raffle to be drawn at Clamfest is under-
way. I would like to see as many Sons as possible at
clamfest to help sell our raffle tickets. We will also be
hosting the Beach Party Aug 4th with the Auxiliary.
Please, we need everyone’s help see Linda or Bill. The
tickets for the Beach Party are available, see Linda. We
hope to do more fundraisers like this soon and hope to get
the same amount of help it really goes smoother with
more help thank you.
Lastly and most importantly everyone keep the
427th Brigade in your prayers and thoughts. Some of
these troops are our own members.
I’m looking forward to seeing you around at the
post and our meetings.
Thank you,
Bill Bell

BRING ON THE NEW YEAR
Yeah, I know, that was in January, but I’m talking
about the 2013 dues year for National. As we all know,
National will start sending out renewals in about 3-4
weeks, as they just sent us the new membership cards.
Our goal this coming year has not been decided by Na-
tional, but should be around 620.
JUST A COUNT and I still have 61 2012 renewals that
are waiting for dues to be paid. Some of them will be
dropped by National this year and I am going to start
going through them and dropping them from our rolls
as well.
LETS ALL GET OUR RENEWALS IN AS SOON AS
POSSIBLE THIS YEAR.
REMEMBER = NEW MEMBERS ARE NEEDED.

Welcome to all. This is my first newsletter so hopefully all goes well. First I would like to Thank everyone for this opportunity to serve as president. There is so much going on I will try to cover all. First let me say that last year was a terrific year with almost everyone in the Legion family working so well with each other. The Beach Party is coming up August 4th, 1 to 5 PM. Only 21 and over please. Volunteers are needed, see sign up sheet. We are working on a newer project, called bundles for babies, all you crafty ladies and some of you guys too, I know Who You Are, Too help with Knitting, Sewing, crocheting, I think that’s right. For Those that are not so crafty, donations of some materials would be appreciated. These would be given to Fort Drum expectant mothers. I would like to thank all you ladies that helped with the flower pots , clean up and such, THANK YOU!. Poppy donations exceeded the last two years sales. On a sad note we lost a long tenured Aux. member. Cathy Shewell. Pennies for postage is going very well, Thanks to the generous support of the Legion, and the Fami-lies. We are mailing lots of Candy from the Local Walgreens, 82 Large boxes to date. Chris Hemberg-er, Has dropped off large boxes to the USO at Fort Drum. I welcome Your support, and I'm always avail-able. If you or some one you know is serving over-seas, drop there address, and we will send them a package. Please Call with any Questions Or suggestions. I hope that what Pat Kearney Started The family meet-ing, Continues. Remember if we all say Is this what's best For the legion, and our troops, I think we will continue to grow and prosper.
Thanks so much Linda.

Greetings fellow 787 members!
Well, the riding season is in full swing and we have sev-
eral options each weekend for the rest of the season. The
ALR 787 recently led the Cicero Fest Parade with several
bikes and a deuce and a half, plus a Vietnam tribute truck
that featured the unit flags of all that served in Nam. Thanks
to all who participated.
I would like to welcome our newest members, Donald
Daly, Jean Ebert, Mike Connelly, and John "trapper" Miller.
The Riders membership now stands at 71. If you are inter-
ested in joining you can contact me at [email protected].
Also we are having the scrap metal drive to benefit Feed
Our Vets, on June 28th at the Legion. This will run from
10am till 3pm. Items accepted will include pots and pans,
wire, steel, stainless steel, tin, aluminum, brass, all appli-
ances, water heaters and furnaces.
I will also remind everyone that the Vietnam Traveling
Wall will be at the VFW Post in Mexico, 5930 Scenic Ave.,
July 26th thru the 29th. Plans are in the making for the Rid-
ers and the Patriot Guard to participate in an escort for this
event. I want to thank all who brought in DVD's and CD's,
as well as some books for the 427th BSB. We will be ship-
ping these very soon to Afghanistan. I am also happy to an-
nounce that the Legion Riders 787 recently presented the
Legion with a check for $500.00 towards the building fund.

meeting will be July 10th at 7pm. Ride safe. Remember,
