COMMITTEE REPORT: Agency Leaders Committee Prepared by: Mary Haban, APR
Date: June 3, 2014
Activities Since Last Report: The May 15th Agency Leaders Program, “Bringing Content
Strategy to Life” was a rousing success. The sold-out event brought together many new faces
from the chapter and a large number of guests. Additionally, we saw a number of folks express
interest by simply showing up to the program in the hopes of getting in.
The combination of the talented speakers (Josh Hallett and Dave Coustan,) coupled with the
premiere sponsorship by BusinessWire, helped catapult this program to great heights and
helped the chapter gain valuable exposure.
The program attracted the maximum number of attendees -- 50 people. Early indicators show
we yielded a profit from the program, to be confirmed by the treasurer once numbers are
tallied.
Upcoming Activities: The Agency Leaders Committee plans to have two more meetings
this year: one for August and possibly one for November. We are still determining the locale,
format of these gatherings, and may bring in a speaker on a specific topic that’s relevant to those members working in the agency setting.
Additional Information/Updates: The “Find An Agency” directory has been a highly
popular feature and we’ve seen a number of new members join the chapter mainly to utilize
this service.
Questions or Requests for Officers/Board: None at this time.
