The play will run from Oct. 25-27, and this year the Saturdayshow will be at 4 p.m., which hadnever been done before.

“This is a big weekend for thecollege, with family weekend anda campus visit day weekend withthe admissions department,” Hen-rickson said. “Having an after-noon play should fit in better withthe big-picture schedule. Oncethe play is over, students in theshow will also have more time tospend with their families.”

Tickets can be purchased atthe door or in advance by callingthe box office at 668-1234 Mon-day-Friday between noon and 5p.m.

“We are really grateful for thecommunity and business supportof Mount Marty theater,” Henrick-son said. “There are about 80companies that are joining us forour advertisements for ticketsprogram. They get an advertise-ment in the playbill in exchangefor tickets to the shows here.”

He said people should come tosee the show to support the stu-dents at Mount Marty and tocheck out the new talent on cam-pus.

“A lot of the actors we have in‘Opal’ have only been on campusa few months,” Henrickson said.“People should come see theshow and the renovations at Mar-ian Auditorium. I will stand withthis beautiful story that is basedon actual events of a young girlslife.”
