• Toiletries—small bottles of shampoo are what we need the most.

• Hoola hoops, playground balls, and a new good basketball or two.

FUN TIMES IN FEBRUARY 2019

As you surely know by reading our calendars, every Friday here at Friendly House is Community Night! Each week provides something fun to do with your family and friends, like Bingo, where you can win amazing prizes —see the top left photo! On February 15, we had an Ice Cream-Making Social! Families made their own ice cream using a little bit of science: using ice, a baggie, and LOTS of vigorous shaking, they turned simple ingredients into a tasty treat!

On February 22, we had our Preschool Winter Family Social in the Brentano gym! Chef Alex with Meals on Wheels People provided delicious tostadas for everyone. There were many activities for the children to choose from, including jewelry-making, “fishing” for prizes, and face painting! Head Start teacher/Pre-school Co-head teacher Fish Martinez led the children in an exciting drum circle. Thank you to all the fami-lies that came, and make sure to check the calendar for more fun events here at Friendly House!
