psychiatric facility.GOAL

To work for high quality of life and ultimate elimination of stigma against mental illnesses, ensuring full participation and reintegration of people with mental disorders into society.

 

OBJECTIVES Integrating mental health care within the primary health care

system. To work for Health Promotion by raising awareness in general

public and health care providers. To develop Vocational Training Centres for male and female

patients. To facilitate socio-economic reintegration. To establish support groups of patients / families, reducing

their burden and promoting the quality of life. To work on uplifting of general outlook of patients and hospital. To prevent marginalization and discrimination surrounding

people with mental disorders. To give a voice to excluded psychiatric patient. To secure their participation in society by protecting and safe

guarding their human rights and dignity. To support and assist the management of PIMH in Welfare

Programmes. Special focus on women empowerment in the society. To bring behavioural changes in the community by using tool of

Knowledge, Attitude & Practice.
