If you were unable to attend and would like ideas or strategies to use at home to encourage reading, please let us know and we can certainly get information to you. Having the book fair this week certainly was exciting for our students. They enjoyed selecting books on Tuesday. Knowing that every student in the building got at least one book is certainly something that I am delighted to have happen at our school. Additionally, when students are able to chose their books in a topic they are interested in it encourages reading. Have a wonderful weekend! Christina Labbe Happy Autumn! It has been a week of viewing new books at the Scholastic Book Fair. We gratefully accepted selections from students who bought books for our library! Thank you for giving so all students can enjoy these books. We continue to add our own brand new books to the shelves. Come take a peek! The Kindergarten class came to the library for their first official visit. They heard the story of Sweet Pea the sheep that had a SheepOver with her animal friends. Students were so excited to take their very first library book out! I also met our new District Librarian, Ellen Spring. She enjoyed coming into our library while looking ahead to furthering our growth. She will be very busy with all the schools in the district . We cheerfully welcome her and appreciate her guiding our libraries into a great year ahead. READ ON! First, I would like to thank all who helped or attended Literacy Night. If you were unable to attend and would like ideas or strategies to use at home to encourage reading, please let us know and we can certainly get information to you.

Having the book fair this week certainly was exciting for our students. They enjoyed selecting books on Tuesday. Knowing that every student in the building got at least one book is certainly something that I am delighted to have happen at our school. Additionally, when students are able to chose their books in a topic they are interested in it encourages reading.
