Welcome!Welcome to FRINGE WORLD Festival, the boutiquefringe at the edge of the world.

FRINGE WORLD runs from 23 January to 22February 2015 in Perth, Western Australia duringthe citys buzzing summer festival period.

Ask anyone whos been FRINGE WORLD isgaining a reputation on an international level. Ouraudiences are generous, the people are friendly,and the balmy summer nights cant be beat.

In 2014 the Festival broke all its records, with morethan 370,000 people attending Festival events.

If youre considering making the trip from abroad,weve got great news. FRINGE WORLD dovetailsperfectly with Adelaide Fringe and a load of otheropportunities. Check the last page of this pack for afull list of neighbouring summer festivals.

In 2015, FRINGE WORLD launches into its fourthFestival. Its set to be a pearler and we look forwardto saying hello to familiar faces, and welcomingnew friends to the beautiful city of Perth during

one of the nicest festivals happening on the circuit.

How to Register...FRINGE WORLD is an open access festival which means that anyone can register a show, exhibition or

event. Well even help you find a venue if you dont have one secured.

Weve put all the tools you need to register in one place - The FRINGE WORLD Toolbox:www.fringeworld.com.au/toolbox. This blog contains all the links to get you started, and well continue topost instructions and tips for participants along the way.

From there, you can head to the Fringe Event Registration System (FERS).

This is where youll tell us everything we need to know about you, your event, your venue (or venuerequirements), where you enter information for the printed program and website listing, and its from herethat youll set up ticketing information before they go on sale in December.

For now, we need you to complete Steps 1 to 4 in the FERS system. You dont need to complete theseall in one go - you can save your changes and resume as need be. Just make sure you take note of thedeadlines on Page 4.

Once you sign off on Step 4, you will be asked to pay a $50 Event Registration Deposit (GST free) whichwill contribute your full Event Registration Fee.

This is our way of ensuring that all of our participants are serious about being a part of the Festival, andprogressing to the final steps of registration.

VENUES

There are two ways to bring your event to FRINGEWORLD; we can either match your event to avenue, or you can arrange your own.

MATCH ME TO A VENUE...FRINGE WORLD venues range dramatically in sizeand scale we like to think outside of the box.

These include a wide range of existing theatres,galleries, pubs and empty shops as well as a swagof pop-up venues including Spiegltents and othertemporary treasures.

Youll tell us about your events requirements in

the online registration system, and if we can find amatch, youll receive a Matchmaker Program Offerin September.

Register by 25 August 2014

ILL BRING MY OWN VENUE...If youre all set for a venue, youve got a bit of extratime to get your registration in.

Tell us where youre holding your event so we cancollect their info and list them as a Fringe WorldVenue online and in the printed program.

Register by 6 October 2014

FEES AND TICKETING

REGISTRATION FEE

Each event at FRINGE WORLD attracts a RegistrationFee to confirm their place in the Festival program;

Ticketed events:$300Free events:$150

A $50 Registration Deposit must be paid perevent at the completion of FERS Step 4 for yourregistration to be officially submitted (25 August2014 for Matchmaker registrations).

This deposit contributes to your full Registration Fee,the remainder of which must be paid by6 October2014.

Registration fees are GST free.

VENUE HIRE

If you sign up to receive a Matchmaker venue offer,your offer memo will detail a flat venue hire cost orbox office split.

On average, box office splits should be between 20%and 50% of your net box office after ticketing fees. Besure to factor this into your planning and make sureyou understand whats included and excluded in thecost of your venue.

If youre BYO-ing a venue, you will negotiate and payany venue hire independently.

TICKETING FEE

FRINGE WORLD runs an all-inclusive ticketingplatform, via fringeworld.com.auand at FRINGEWORLD Box Office locations from January onwards.

Depending on the price of your tickets, FRINGEWORLD will deduct a ticketing fee from each ticketsold keep this in mind when setting your prices.

To keep it simple for customers, the Ticketing Feeis included in the price you set in FERS, and it will

appear this way in the program and on the ticketingwebsite.
