✢ PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Heavenly Father, you are holy beyond measure. Hear us as we cry out to you through him who is righteous for us.

We confess that we are weak and broken, but you are strong and close to the brokenhearted. We are poor and needy, but you are full of riches and kindness. We are naked, but you clothe us. We are empty, but you fill us. We are thirsty, but you satisfy us. We are blind, but you grant us sight.

Help us, gracious Lord, so to feed on the riches of him who loved us that we might grow more and more into his likeness and so show forth his wonder to a world in need. Amen.

All who trust alone in Christ as Savior and Lord, belong to (and are in good standing with) a church that embraces the gospel, live at peace with their neighbor, and seek strength to live more faithfully are welcome to partake. If you are not a Christian, please consider spending this time in prayer.

Minister: The Lord be with you.

People: And also with you.

Minister: Lift up your hearts.

People: We lift them up unto the Lord.

Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

People: It is right to give him thanks and praise.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING & WORDS OF INSTITUTION

All: Christ has died.Christ is risen.Christ will come again.

Minister: Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed for us.

People: Therefore, let us keep the feast.

Minister: The gifts of God for the people of God. Come and feed on him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.

All communion bread is gluten-free.

Prayer of Seeking Truth

Lord Jesus, you claim to be the way,

the truth and the life.If what you claim

is true, please guide me, teach me, and

open to me the reality of who you are.

Grant that I might be undaunted by the

cost of following you as I consider the

reasons for doing so. Give me an

understanding of you that is coherent,

convincing, and that leads to the life

that you promise. Amen

Prayer of Belief

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am weaker

and more sinful than I ever before

believed, but through you, I am more

loved and accepted than I ever dared to

hope. I thank you for paying my debt,

bearing my punishment on the cross

and offering forgiveness and new life.

Knowing that you have been raised

from the dead, I turn from my sins and

receive you as my Savior. Amen.

Prayer of Humble Access

I do not presume to come to this your table, O merciful Lord, trusting in my own

goodness, but only in your righteousness credited to me. I am not worthy so much as to

gather up the crumbs under your table. But you are the same Lord whose manner is

always to show mercy. Grant me, therefore, O Lord, the grace to commune now with

Christ by faith, that I may evermore live in him and he in me. Amen.

❖ NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS Robert Lowry

What can wash away my sin Nothing but the blood of Jesus What can make me whole again Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Chorus: Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus

This is all my hope and peace Nothing but the blood of Jesus This is all my righteousness Nothing but the blood of Jesus (Chorus)

Now by this I’ll overcome Nothing but the blood of Jesus Now by this I’ll reach my home Nothing but the blood of Jesus (Chorus)

Adult Sunday Morning Classes 9:00 am Disciple Making Workshop: Having Intentional Gospel Conversations in the Personal Space Teachers: Andrés Zelaya and Jaime Jimenez The last command Jesus gave the church was the call for Christians to “make disciples of all nations”. But how do we effectively disciple both not-yet-Christians and Christians? Through this workshop, we’ll discover why making disciples is at the very heart of God’s work; the stages and steps of spiritual development; how to have Gospel conversations; and practical tools to create intentional followers of Jesus.

10:30 am Parenting in this Cultural Moment Teachers: Clay and Shannon Holland In this cultural moment, parenting can feel particularly daunting and overwhelming. In this class we will discuss some of the big cultural issues of our day and how to encourage and equip one another to engage them with our children.
