Outline
• How is INSPIRE doing in DK
• Main goals – right now
• New Common Public Digitization Strategy
• Project Digital Environmental Management
• INSPIRE matters
• Summing up
• Last words….for now
How is INSPIRE doing in DK?
• It was ”easy” with annex 1 (and 2)
• INSPIRE is “politically” embedded
• Moving to annex 3 is a different story
• We are on track and have a good dialogue with the data owners
• To make it happen on a big scale
……….what´s in for me?!
• Must create value for data owners
– We have been very conceptual
– Now we need to go useable
• Local value – no big leaver use case!
• Getting services fine tuned
• Adjust metadata
• Start harmonization process….
New common public digitization
strategy 2016-2020 • Public sector efficient and creates value and growth for
citizen and enterprises – user!!
– Automation of administrative processes
– Improved user experiences
– Digital welfare
– Data sharing
– Framework for a coherent/interoperable eGovernment
– Data security
– It-infrastructure solutions
– Governance
Project Digital Environmental Management
• A more holistic approach
• Digitization is more than IT solutions
Digitization of public sector service areas
Legislation/regulation area
Processes and work flow “authoritative “ data (infrastructure)
Realize the full potential
• Data driven public management
– the tight link between regulation and data
• Regulations that hinders digitization….
– Data that are not adequate….
– Processes that cannot be digitized….
• Mapping 16 legislative areas
– Planning, forestry, waste……..
• Deep dives into 3-5 specific areas
And INSPIRE?
• Authoritative data
– what do we mean?
– what properties must data have?
– how shall regulation be designed?
– The big question:
HOW SUITED ARE INSPIRE DATA ?
Summing up
• Success – INSPIRE matters on political and strategic level
• Keeping focus – INSPIRE is old news • Make it useable
– Value for those working with environmental management as they are main suppliers and users
• New data owners - geo-communication • The project PDM is an entrance into the machine
– we (hopefully) can point directly to were INSPIRE brings value
• We still have to keep focus on national benefits
Last words…for now
• The important role of MIG
– Customizing INSPIRE for use
– Bridging between e-gov and INSPIRE
– Harvesting “real” experiences
• Digital agenda and INSPIRE
– ISA WG on Spatial Information and Services
• Environment reporting and INSPIRE
– We need it!
