PAST EVENTS FROM

FRIDAY 15TH , FEBRUARY Nakuru District A.G.M.This was held in Nutan Patel's garden.15 members attended. As per request from members present Nutan Patel retained her position as chairman. Mrs. Janet Gathoga was elected as vice replacing Sushi Shah. Nalini Dodhia and Mrunalini Patel retained their position as secretary and treasurer. 5 members were elected in committee. Following the meeting Nasreen Malik gave a talk on cucumber. Latter on members had tea and snacks.

SATURDAY 16th March Garden Meeting. The meeting was held at Nalini Dodhia'shouse. 15 members were present. A crossword puzzle on

plants was organized. One of the member gave craft demonstration from waste to its best. Members went round the garden and had snacks , tea and coffee.

SATURDAY 13th April Plant saleOnce again the plant sale was held at Westside Mall. We had six stalls selling plants, pots, fertilizer, honey, cards, calendars and snacks. Many visitors came to look and bought items on sale.

SATURDAY 27th April Main Council A.G.M.This was held at the Pot , Flower Business Park. Members were welcome with a cup of tea and snacks. A talk was given on how to be a responsible property owner and a summarized report of 2018 from all the district. Latter members paid a visit to Plantek Ltd. a nursery supplying seedlings, herbs, owers and trees. All had great time. They had mouth watering lunch at the Pot.

THURSDAY 17th May Nairobi Flower ShowNairobi District ower show was held at S.S.D. Temple. 4 members from Nakuru displayed the succulents and won 2nd prize. They also saw other displays and bought plants and pots.

WEATHER RainfallJanuary to March we had an extremely dry spell. The rains were inApril 30mm., May 50mm. and June 58mm.
