(NHSO) covers about 48 million people in Thailand include health care services given to chronic kidney failure at a budget of approx. 9.5 billion baht in 2019.

In a NSHO pilot scheme, patients with renal diseases (>30,000 cases) would also be given access to

Automated Peritoneal Dialysis(APD) treatment requiring both devices and reagent.

Strategy 2 Use government as a initial market

Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3 Stage 4

1. Government making list of targeted devices.2. Government R&D funding agencies in collaboration with companies provide funds to produce the targeted device prototypes with approved standard and quality.3. Market trial period using the sandbox concept.4. Government procurement via the Thai Innovation List.

Strategy 3 : Provide incentives to empowering the domesticinvestment (R&D+manufacturing)

NB: ARIPOLOIS = Innovation center for Automation Robotics and Intelligent System BIOPOLIS = Innovation center for Biotechnology

!"X YJOXYV provides incentives for foreign investors to set up new bases or form joint ventures with local partners to manufacture medical devices, through 3-8 years tax exemption policy for domestic R&D and manufacturing.

Z J OZV establishes a technology and infrastructure !"#!"$'+medical system at global level and (2) enable the country to become the exporter of the medical-related products and (3) reach the country’s goal of becoming the international medical hub
