WHAT EMPLOYERS ARE LOOKING OUT FOR?

Welcome to the Woxsen School of Business.

Our Post Graduate Programme for Experienced Professionals

(PGPXP) is designed to nurture the innovative and entrepreneurial

spirit among aspiring professionals in order to meet the changing

expectations from the employers.

Today, the national boundaries are disappearing and businesses

are expanding on a global scale. In this context, the employers are

looking for professionals with entrepreneurial zeal who can adapt

to changing scenarios at an international level and be at home in

different cultures. The need today is for those who not only can

manage change but also be the change itself within, as well as

outside the organization.

At Woxsen, we aim to achieve this by nurturing the entrepreneurial

spirit. So, when you step into Woxsen, you come with the attitude

of being the change agent and when you step out you will have

acquired the confidence and skills that are required to become the

global leader that you aspire to be.

This is the impact we aim to achieve. We believe you have the

power not just to change your life, but of those around you.

More than the knowledge gained, it is the application of it that

matters most. Which is why, the Woxsen PGPXP exposes you to

several experiential modules during the course of your study.

These programmes, combined with guidance from mentors and

investors will help you apply classroom learning in real-world

scenarios and gain hands-on experience. Experiential programmes

apart, at Woxsen you will have access to unique resources like the

Woxsen Trade Tower where you will get an opportunity to apply

the various stages of setting up a venture - from planning and

design to prototyping and funding.

The Woxsen Trade Tower is a unique concept that provides

hands-on resources for you to plan, develop, seek support

and launch your ideas into viable ventures. It integrates

resources for design and collaboration and mentorship from

faculty and industry experts. The Trade Tower also allows

you to interact with potential investors. Those ideas which

gain the approval of faculty and industry experts stand a

chance to get seed-funded through the Woxsen Fund.

“The goal must be to expand ourselves beyond one field of focus to solve the very real challenges we

face as a global society.”- Naveen Jain, Founder & CEO, Inome;

Member, Business Advisory Council, Woxsen School of Business

The mandatory Global Immersion Programme (GIP) at Woxsen

gives you the opportunity to travel to major business centers

around the world to better understand global best practices.

During these immersion studies, you will team up with your

classmates, professors and influential business leaders to engage

in collaborative learning experiences, gain an international

perspective, and interact with local industry leaders while sampling

the local culture.

Woxsen PGPXP is the only 1 year programme in India that gives

you an opportunity to opt for an internship at prestigious firms.

Many students seek management programmes as a way to

explore career or even sector change. An internship gives you an

opportunity to ‘test drive’ new paths, accumulate industry-specific

skills, and more importantly, gain a ‘real-world’ perspective on how

different industries function so you can make a smooth transition

to the sector of your choice.

GLOBAL IMMERSION PROGRAMME (GIP)

WOXSEN INTERNSHIP

Business centers identified are based on factors such as

stage of economic development, opportunity for business and

entrepreneurial culture. For the 2015-16 batch, three such

business centers have been chosen. You will get to complete your

GIP in any of these centers.

students would need special knowledge and skills, as well as

the flexibility to adapt to a different and complex business

environment. This module would cover the overview on the

fundamentals of ‘Doing Business in China’.

• Singapore: Singapore’s burgeoning culture of entrepreneurship

- augmented by geographical advantage, and decades of

careful government planning - will only continue to surpass

expectations. This module will help you understand the best

practices of evolved economies.

• Mannheim, Germany: This city is home to Daimler, John

Deere, Caterpillar, ABB, IBM, Roche, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever,

Siemens etc. Over the course of your GIP in Mannheim, you

will be exposed to specific modules like ‘doing business in

Germany’, ‘innovation management in Germany’, ‘cross-cultural

management’ with industry visits to Bosch, Freudenberg,

BASF and/ or SAP in close association with an international

management consulting firm.

Some of the other experiential modules you will be exposed to

during the one year at Woxsen:

• Strategy simulations for enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures

• Community consulting programmes
