From October 4 th to October 8 th . Hi! For this time I wanted to start with a feedback through some games but I found some pronunciation difficulties, although we were checked how to pronounce the vocabulary my students forgot several words, this problem was more visible in fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and in f irst, s econd and thi rd studen ts react ed reall y diffe rent! F or them was easier to remember. I’m not sure about my strategy but at this time it looks functional for them, now in their English Fol der s they take notes orga nized in thr ee cat egor ies, Eng lish voca bul ary, pronunciation and meaning, in order students can study in their homes and they could read how to write and how to pronounce, for them is important to know how to write they constantly ask about writing vocabulary but the fact is that they forget the pronunciation. Then one class working in this way I asked their opinions, how they felt with this notes, and they mentioned that it was useful, they now are more confident when they have to answer a question individually, and they can study by themselves.  The re are ma ny fac tor s tha t inf lue nce la ngu age tea chi ng esp eci all y Engli sh pro nun cia tio n teaching. Besides teacher should select the media that suitable to be applied in teaching English  pronunciation, they also should know how to teach pronunciation well. By knowing the good way in teaching English pronunciation, the result that is achieved will be more maximal. The following Jeremy Harmer’s alternatives in pronunciation teaching (2002:1883): “There are three alternatives are conveyed by Harmer. First, whole lesson: making pronunciation the main focus of lesson does not mean that every minute of the lesson has to be spent on  pr onu nci ati on work. Sec ond , di screte slo ts: some tea che rs ins ert sho rt, sep ara te bit s of  pronunciation work into lesson sequences. And the last alternative is integrated phases: many teachers get students to focus on pronunciati on issues as an integrated part of lesson”. Moreover, the most important thing of the teaching and learning process is the understanding of the students about the lesson. In this case, the teacher should let the students know that they are studying about pronunciati on and they are expected to be able to pronounce English words correctly. 14

Hi! For this time I wanted to start with a feedback through some games but I found some

pronunciation difficulties, although we were checked how to pronounce the vocabulary

grades, and in first, second and third students reacted really different! For them was

easier to remember.

I’m not sure about my strategy but at this time it looks functional for them, now in their 

English Folders they take notes organized in three categories, English vocabulary,

pronunciation and meaning, in order students can study in their homes and they could

read how to write and how to pronounce, for them is important to know how to write they

constantly ask about writing vocabulary but the fact is that they forget the pronunciation.

It is needed an enthusiasm in teaching English pronunciation so that both the teacher and the

students get a good result in it. It can be done by encouraging the students that they can do the best.Besides that, it also can be done by asking the students to present their ability in pronouncing English

words so that other students know that they can do it well. By this, students have a great spirit to learn

how to pronounce English words well.
