Volume MMXX – Issue 2 February 1st marks the deadline for registering for the annual NCCC Convention and I hope all who want to attend will get their names on the record to attend in Indianapolis, Indiana July 5-10. We also are celebrating leap year this month and our thoughts turn to Valentine's Day on February 14th to spend with our very own valentines. Spring is just around the corner in another six weeks, so we turn our thoughts to getting the corvettes out of winter storage and making them road ready for another great season of enjoying the open road with all of our friends in the club. Don't forget that production is scheduled to begin on February 1st for the C8's at the Bowling Green, KY plant. So there are many exciting events on the horizon for 2020 and I hope all of you will participate in as many as you possibly can.     BOARD MEETING MINUTES OF JANUARY 15, 2020

    6:30 Call to order: President Bob Maynard

    January Secretary: Joyce Cradit

    Proposed/asked for ways to note names for motions. It was agreed upon to only to state motion, note that it was

    seconded and its pass/fail/tabled status. Notation of names was not needed at this time.

    Treasurer: Mike Britz

    New book started for 2020

    Putting together a budget for 2020 and he will bring the proposed budget to the next C4 Board meeting for

    discussion/ approval.

    Waiting on decisions on John Bechtal Trust, funds will be put into checking account. They may be donated to

    V.F.W. Home.

    $3,200. In checking account

    Discussed how money will be listed as it goes in/out of accounts

    Currently all money is accounted for that is not part of the budget

    V/P Governor: Simon Reiffer

    Reminded the board that the NCC server change did not take place, members all notified by e-mail.

    National Conference registration 2/1/2020, go to website for registration information

    National Conference Hotel Registration mid-February

    Regional Meeting will be ‘here’ 2/19/2020. May move C4 Board meeting time to accommodate regional

    meeting.

    6/6/2020 is the preferred date for the “Blessing of the Vettes”

    Discussion about using the Corrigan Oil Track for race event. Considering sanctioned vs. un-sanctioned.

    Preferred dates are in June.

    Dave Pursel suggested that we request July 2021 date for race immediately after June 2020 spring event.

    Possibly using transponders for timing in the future.

    2020 point collection data base is set up and points are up to date

    Question; How to get people to send clear/correct information about events attended in order to receive points?

    Suggested to submit an article to the newsletter/ or a call back to the person requesting points.

    Sally prefers that all information/activity is submitted in an e-mail or text so that the correct number of points can

    be awarded and questions can be asked/answered.

    getting names and contact information.

    V/P Governor: Simon Reiffer

    NC3 has a new server, effective approximately 1/13/20

    National Convention, week of July 5th at Indianapolis, IN, sign up available 2/1/20 on NC3 site, (sign up early to

    stay at main hotel). There may be a direct link to the hotel on convention sign-up site. Many fun events at the

    convention.

    On NC3 site there are many, members only, racing events.

    Competition Director: Scott Lumbert

    Corrigan Oil (Spartan Speedway) racing dates, looking at May or June. He cannot get July as it is blocked by

    another club. (Simon suggested June.) We need a whole day for events.

    Timing and scoring has committed to us for one more year.

    May need to look at alternative for time/score keepers for future. Suggested, to check with Jim Leisure as he may

    be able to help. Perhaps he (JL) could use Owosso’s equipment?

    Scott Lumber explained ease of gathering points.

    N3C # is on your membership card. Be sure to use your # to gather points. Membership # is also on your C4 card.

    You get new cards yearly.

    The Finley’s / C4 Toys for Tots was very successful. All the bins were filled. Finley’s expressed an interest in

    having C4 for future events, possible an evening/dinner event.
