These kinds of enriching extra-curricular opportunies help students to gain confidence and co-operave skills beyond the classroom. They will prove useful in personal statements for Post 16 applicaons and in developing their own character and life-long skills and interests. There was lots of lively dialogue at the first of our two Year 11 parents’ evenings last night. The themes of many conversaons included ensuring that students make the most of the learning opportunies and support available to them to harness their potenal during their remaining months at LVC. With mock exams and Sixth Form open evenings on the horizon, there was also a keen desire to help students to achieve a good balance between working hard and looking aſter their physical and mental health and wellbeing. From the Principal…

It has been a great week for competitive sport at LVC as the match reports from football fixtures celebrate below. Older members of the College have also been engaged in the Debate Mate challenge which was a privilege to observe and co-judge with Mr Stewart and Lucy Frazer this morning. These kinds of enriching extra-curricular opportunities help students to gain confidence and co-operative skills beyond the classroom. They will prove useful in personal statements for Post 16 applications and in developing their own character and life-long skills and interests.

There was lots of lively dialogue at the first of our two Year 11 parents’ evenings last night. The themes of many conversations included ensuring that students make the most of the learning opportunities and support available to them to harness their potential during their remaining months at LVC. With mock exams and Sixth Form open evenings on the horizon, there was also a keen desire to help students to achieve a good balance between working hard and looking after their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Spending time walking together in the fresh air next Friday will be a welcome end to term providing collective exercise and fundraising for the Friends of LVC. Do pledge your support for tutor groups if you haven’t done so already through the College website and don’t forget to order refreshments for the walk via sQuid.
