THE SOLEMNITY OF MARY, MOTHER OF GOD
This weekend the Church takes the opportunity to honor Mary, the Mother of God. Without Mary’s faithful “yes” to the angel Gabriel, the Savior of the world would not have been born. This weekend’s gospel tells us that Mary reflected on many things in her heart, not the least of which being the birth of the Savior. This is a clue for you and I. Let’s not forget to take some “reflection time” during this Christmas season, being grateful for the birth of Jesus and for the countless blessings that He brings. THIS BEARS REPEATING
As I mentioned in last weekend’s bulletin, a very sincere Thank You goes out to all parishioners of our three parishes who contributed so unselfishly to making our churches – and our Christmas liturgies – so beautiful. Many people worked hard “behind the scenes” to make sure that our churches and our Christmas liturgies gave fitting praise to the newborn King. Well done, one and all! WELCOME MONSIGNOR COLLETTI!
Just five days before Christmas, Monsignor Richard Colletti arrived in Adrian as the new pastor of St. Adrian, St Killian (oratory) in Killian, St. Anthony in Lismore, and Our Lady of Good Counsel in Wilmont. Monsignor Colletti will make a wonderful addition to the Worthington Deanery. We wish him well as he begins his new ministry in this wonderful part of our diocese.

March for Life

State Capitol, St. Paul, MN
Contingent on interest, buses are being arranged across the Diocese. The
March begins at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Capitol and there is a program at
2:30 p.m. on the Capitol front steps. We’ve had a number of our youth
and adults participate in March for Life in the past—let’s get organized
and get a group together for this year! Contact Lisa in the Faith
Formation Office if you are interested!

TEC RETREAT OPPORTUNITIES!!! How about making a
New Year’s Resolution that will deepen your faith and
bring you closer to Jesus??? There are two upcoming
TEC retreats you can consider! The first one is a
Riverbend TEC—January 14-16th in Marshall. You can

Pathways TEC Feb. 18-20 in Mankato. More information

TEC is an amazing 3 day retreat for those 16 years and
older (adults are welcome too!). Making a TEC retreat
will deepen your faith—and you always be glad you did it!

Our children will do a short program, and youth will fill the liturgical roles for Mass. Please let Holly Zins (507) 360-6958 know if your children/youth would
like to participate. We also need parents to help supervise the children. We are very pleased that Holly Zins is directing the Epiphany program again
this year! She has told us that because of her upcoming marriage, this will be her last year. We are currently seeking people who would be willing
to work with Holly this year, and take over the direction of this special program in future years. If
you are interested and willing (it’s a lot of fun!) contact Holly or Lisa in the Faith Formation office.
We are also planning to again have a pancake breakfast (fundraiser for Faith Formation) following the Mass. Thanks to Edie and Jim Troje, who have
agreed to supervise this, but we need others to help! If you can help out please contact Edie or let
Lisa know.
