FROM THE DESK OF STATE PRESIDENT
I feel fortunate to place Annual Report for the year 2016-17 at the Lotus feet of our most beloved Master Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on behalf of Members of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation MP-CG. Organizational activities during the year were undertaken in almost all the revenue districts of twin states. Currently organization is working in 32 Sri Sathya Sai Districts of the State. The main activities are in the 3 wings of the Organisation viz. Service, Spiritual and Educational with an understanding that sole purpose of doing these activities is to recognise the inherent Divinity within him/her. Central place in any activity undertaken by the organisation is spirituality; because this only helps members to understand the purpose of joining the organisation. This year number of Jyoti Meditation camps were organised throughout the state. Sadhana camps were organised to understand the significance of 9 Points of Code of conduct. More specific stress was given to let the members understand significance of holding family Bhajans to bring unity among the family members. The Sewadal, Bal Vikas Gurus, Bal Vikas children and youths Mahila Vibhag, they all are the pillar of Organisation. With the grace of Swami they all were ever ready to undertake any service activity voluntarily at any time. This caused all round progress in all the 3 wings of the Organisation which is evident from the ensuing chapter of this report. Good number of Sevadal reaching Prashanthi Nilayam during the allotted time slot, opening of Rural Vocational Training centres at 3 places, imparting Disaster Management Training to the youth member of the Organisation on regular basis and regular visit of Mahila Vibhag to selected Villages to undertake Mother and Child care programme are few of the highlighters in addition to the regular service activities undertaken every year by the organisation. Training for new Bal Vikas Gurus on regular basis and making refresher courses for old Gurus has resulted in significantly expanding the spectrum of Bal Vikas Movement in the State. Organising Bal Vikas Children parent contact programme on regular basis has helped parents to understand Swami’s mission and organisation’s activities with close corners and will definitely prove one day a gateway to Divine mission for them.
We express our sincere thanks to the Convener, Trustees and Members of the council of the Management of Sri Sathya Sai Trust MP who served hand in hand with the Organisation to spread the message of Swami by running educational institutes and Blood Bank in the state. We also express our gratitude to respected All India President Shri Nimish Pandya ji for timely guidance. Finally in all our humility we offer our humble gratitude at the Divine Lotus Feet for giving us an opportunity to serve HIM and choosing us to be a small part in His Divine Mission. May HE continue to shower HIS blessings by allowing us for ever and ever to serve HIM.
Jai Sairam!

INTRODUCTION:
The activities of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation are based on the principle given by
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai baba and that is, “to recognise inherent Divinity within”.
The activities originate “to enable its members to undertake service activities as
means to spiritual advancement”. For all the activities the teachings of Swami
occupy central place and state organisation ensures adherence to Swami’s
philosophy.
Organisation is disciplined, well planned, systematic & follows each and every
direction from All India President. All major decisions are collectively taken by
office bearers & devotees during annual meeting and execution is done
harmoniously. It encourages participation of all with uniformity and equality. We
do not give any importance to differences of religion or sect or colour. All work on
the principle that oneness permeates in our every act.
It’s ensured that each and every member is given some responsibility and role.
Senior members are involved to sustain standard and harmony. They are given all
due respect and responsibility to move around the samithis and Bhajan Mandalis
and share their experiences, provide guidance and ensure discipline.
Group discussion during meeting
We offer our humble gratitude at the Divine Lotus Feet for giving us an opportunity
to be part of His Divine Mission and improve ourselves.
The Sevadal, Bal Vikas Gurus, Bal Vikas children and youths are the pillar of
Organisation. They are the energy and spirit ever ready to take up service activity
voluntarily. Regular trainings and conferences are organised enabling them to
experience Swami’s philosophy and bear the responsibility with understanding.
Organisation takes up all necessary steps at all levels to promote and encourage
participation with love and care.
For smooth functioning and welcoming environment the organisation has
introduced induction process which will generate welcoming environment for new
members and also strengthen active members to take up better responsibilities.
During the year 2016 - 17 all the three wings of Organization – Spiritual, Service and
Education were active in consolidation, improvement and expansion of
Organisational work.
EDUCATION:
BAL VIKAS MOVEMENT – A CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME:
Education is the strength of organisation. There are wide spread service activities in the field of education. It was close to Swami and He has always emphasised on value education to be given to the children. Swami use to say, “My students are My property”. It is the cultured children who will carry the torch of nation. A human resource of value based children is the need for sustenance of any nation. Children will blossom to citizens and leaders of tomorrow. To propagate same, Bal Vikas movement was founded in the year 1969 by Swami and has grown into a global movement. The state organisation has massive bal vikas movement which involves mahilas of family devotees. Any mahila interested in imparting value education to the children through bal vikas classes is welcomed to undergo a training and become a guru. The classes are conducted for the children from the age of 5 to 15 years living in the vicinity of gurus house. In our state Bal vikas is expanding and every samiti has bal vikas classes. There has been consistent increase in the efforts and shaping and nurturing bal vikas
students. As a result of continuous, unified and systematic efforts the number of activities has increased significantly.

SRI SATHYA SAI VIDYA JYOTI:
The program is about adoption of schools by each district. This National school
adoption program was launched in March 2016. Purpose is to change environment of
these schools and make education value based on the teachings of Swami.
The vastness of program demands involvement of all members of organization, hence
next phase of trainings were held in four different parts of state namely Bilaspur,
Kanker, Indore and Jabalpur. These trainings had covered all wings of organisation
and attended by almost all active members. Till now total 51 schools are adopted
which will increase gradually. Our state is emphasizing on quality of activities and
hence we are not stressing on figures to increase number of schools. Swami wants
quality and not quantity.
Work has started in these schools in a well-planned manner. Clear guidelines are
passed on to each district enabling each member to participate with full heart and
achieve results.

SSSVIP:
Sri Sathya Sai Village integrated program is a nationwide program adopted by SSS
Seva organisations India on PAN India. It has its genesis from the infinite
compassion of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba towards the poor, downtrodden,
ignorant and innocent people living in the villages. The program was launched on
the auspicious day of Ugadi in 2007. The service activities under this program are
focussed on the family. The family is considered as the main unit of activities.
Our state has taken up 62 villages in 25 Sai districts under SSSVIP since 2007. Out of
these some village centres are converted into bhajan mandlies /Samithis. At the
commencement of year 2016 we had 42 villages in hand belonging to 23 Sai
districts. Remaining 6 Sai districts are in process of selecting new villages.
Since these villages are located in different parts of state and depending on local circumstances organisation plans to introduce at least 4 cares out of 7 which includes Individual care, Employment care, Agri care, Medical care, Educare, Socio care and spiritual care There major activities undertaken in SSSVIP villages are Bal Vikas, Narayan Seva,
medical camps, veterinary camps, Kissan Sammelen (wherein interactive sessions
between agriculture scientists and the farmers takes place), Bhajans and Nagar
sankirtan.

HOSPITAL SEVA:
Seva dal volunteers and members of organization are dedicated devotees of Bhagawan Baba who take up hospital seva following Swami’s teaching of “Manav seva is Madhav seva”. It is a regular activity and all samithis of state undertake it with joy. Blood donation is regular part of service. Few examples of hospital seva are: A medical camp was organized at Indore on 28th Feb with the help of doctors from SSS Rajkot hospital. Around 900 poor patients who could have never afforded very expensive heart treatment, were screened and their case files were prepared. Later all the short listed patients were operated at Rajkot hospital free of cost. The devotees of Durg samithi have adopted orthopedics ward of government hospital. They arrange medicine, moral support, fruit and meals and even financial support in arranging travel cost to needy poor patients. They also keep the ward clean, placed curtains and scenery pictures to make patients feel at home even in the hospital. Many types of equipment are also donated by devotees who help in rehabilitation of orthopedic patients. This service is continuing for last many years. The devotees of Indore samithi have adopted government M.Y. hospital wherein they provide daliya and facility of heating milk. All patients are provided milk by hospital which needs heating before consumption. The devotees noticed the difficulty faced by outside patients in getting this task done. Now the samithi has a counter in hospital, where all patients come with milk and sevadal heats and puts sugar. The seva is arranged on daily basis without any break and is well appreciated by one and all and has also become a source of inspiration to general public. Government hospital Ratlam is adopted by samithi since last 25 -30 years. The devotees visit regularly and provide clothing, food and blood to needy. At Government hospital Sajapur the relatives of patients are served two times meals. One member of Organisation took over this seva and was regular in providing daily meals to poor relatives of patients. Many other people both devotees and non-devotees got inspired and came forward to support. The seva is now recognized by district collector who himself narrates this services to all as an example of self-less service. Raipur district with the support of neighboring districts namely Dhamtari and Kanker regularly _rganizes heart checkup camps with a group of MD doctors. The camp is given wide spread publicity and on due date team of doctors screen operative heart cases. Complete case file is prepared and same is forwarded to
Prashanthi Nilayam and Bangalore Hospital for further treatment. This is ongoing since last few years. Jabalpur samithi (nagar) organizes free medical camp at Prashanthi Mandir, sharda chowk every Sunday where in 60 patients are treated on an average. This seva was started on 26th March 2006 and is going on till date with the support of Dr. Narendra Khare, Dr. Smt. Krishna Ray, Dr. Chanpuria and Dr. Smt Chanpuria.
