WIPEOUT II- A CALCULATOR GAME
This game gives practice with the calculator, reinforces number sense, and promotes problem-solving skills.
To play the game, each pair of students needs a calculator. The first player enters seven digits of a telephone number, for example, 9 2 6 0 4 4 5.
The second player selects one of the digits in the display and repeats it as often as desired to produce a number that is subtracted from the original number.
Players take turns. The first player to wipe out the telephone number, leaving only 0 displayed, is the winner.

Play continues until a winner is determined. Note: Initially, if a negative number appears in the display, the other player wins and a new game
is begun. Later on this rule can be modified to allow a player to add, rather than subtract, a number formed by repeating a digit from the display.
