FROM THE DIRECTOR The Library has a new addition to our front yard: The Library Bear from the Bear Fair! Joanne Bierschenk won him and Joanne and Dick have graciously offered him to us till October. It was so nice of them and we enjoy having him here. I'm calling him “Henry."

It's been a busy summer on the mountain. A job well done to all the organizations: Cragsmoor Association, Cragsmoor Conservancy, Cragsmoor Fire Company, Cragsmoor Library and The Stone Church. We all work very hard in protecting, maintaining, preserving, providing and enriching our mountain top community. These organizations are manned by volunteers, well, except for me (sorry, but thank you!). It takes a lot of heart!

Sam's Point State Park also deserves thanks. With all the visitors they have, they do a good job taking care of and protecting the mountain. The rangers are great to work with, and presented a children's event that was enjoyed by all.

We were happy to see so many of you at the various Library events this past summer. Many thanks for your participation and support! Though there will be fewer events as we transition into the fall and winter months, we hope you'll keep an eye on the calendar and attend whenever you can.
