Life Education at Durack School

It is fantastic to again bring our unique brand of health and drug education programs to Durack School. Hopefully everyone has relayed with

excitement , their experience in the Life Education Van and of course meeting Harold the giraffe. This year each year level has had a tailored module presented which will be followed up in the students Health and PE sessions : Transition to year 4 have learnt in depth about the wonders of the human body and ways to achieve optimum healthy practices. : Years 4-6 expanded on the previous knowledge by learning safe practises of using medicines as well as the short and long term effects of alchol on the body. In Australia alchol remains the number 1 drug which causes the most deaths in the 12-25 year old age group. Each year level has worked on implementing positive communication skills with peers, showing respect, remaining thoughtful and showing kindness to others.
