It has been a lot of work in preparing students to perform, making costumes and transporting students to rehearsals and performances. The students did a wonderful job and the enjoyment they got from their involvement in it was obvious. This was only made possible because teachers took the time out of their already busy schedules to ensure that the students had the opportunity to participate. A huge thankyou to Emily Trembath, Helen Saville and Katie Brown for coordinating, training, transporting, sewing and providing emotional support to the teams of performers and choir students. These three wonderful teachers took many hours away from their own families over the weekend as the many weeks of preparation culminated in a wonderful production where 4 concerts, each lasting for 3 hours, were held. I’m sure all students are a bit sad that it is all over, but will have lifelong memories of their experiences! Parent /Teacher interviews are being held over the next two weeks. If you are unable to attend an interview, your child’s report will be sent home on the last day of term which is Friday 30 th June. Thank you to staff who have put a lot of work into writing reports. They take approximately one hour each to write so in a class of 30, this is thirty hours on top of the work they already do to prepare engaging lessons and opportunities for your children. Please take the time to discuss the reports with your children and talk to them about setting learning goals for next Semester. Cyber bullying continues to be a problem for children all over Australia. If your child is using social media, please be aware of the problems and discuss them with your children. From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Congratulations to all involved in Star Struck. If you are unable to attend an interview, your child’s report will be sent home on the last day of term which is Friday 30th June.

Spare Clothes Now that the cold wet weather is here, could you please pack extra clothes in your child/childrens bags. We don’t have a large supply of clothes for students and if we can’t get in contact with parents students will have to stay in their wet clothes.

TOO SICK for SCHOOL

Sometimes it's hard to know if your child is really coming down with something. For safety's sake, if your child seems unwell you should always keep them home from school and seek medical advice. In the school environment, germs spread very quickly and illness often spread throughout the classroom.

On the last day of Term 2, Friday 30th June we will be having a Onesie day to support type 1 diabetes.

For a cold coin donation students can wear either a onesie, a single sock or a single glove. Students can wear sensible clothing under there onesie. Sensible footwear is to be worn.

Donation A very big thank you to Browns Butchery for their donation to go towards buying our defibrillator.

Take this voucher to Browns Butchery to receive a discount of your next purchase or collect a voucher from the office. _______________________________________

Announcement: Term 3 Music Bus Enrolments Now Open

The Music Bus are now taking new student enrolments for Term 3. The program is open for all students from K to 6. Running weekdays at School. The Music Bus have limited availability in Singing, Keyboard, Guitar, Drum and Ukulele and so it is advised to enrol asap.

The Music Bus is a wonderful music program that many of our students are already enjoying – a brilliant and cost-effective way for students to get fun and specialist music lessons without parents having to travel all over the area after school. Cost of lessons is only $16 per week (Drums $18).

If you’re interested in your child having music lessons through The Music Bus, check out their website at www.themusicbus.com.au or call 1300 168 742

If you could please place in your next newsletter and/or other forms of school notices (e.g. Facebook and School App), that would be wonderful.

Any questions or concerns, please let me know.
