West Wyalong Public School NEWSLETTER
TERM 2 Week 4
Monday 18th May 2020
From the Principal’s Desk Welcome to Week 4.
It was so lovely to see most of our students back throughout last week. We have missed them all so much. We want to THANK YOU all for assisting students with their home learning. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!! We had a chance to work with different students on the different days and the improvement in their reading and sight work knowledge was evident in the younger students. The work habits and comprehension skills in the older students has been very pleasing. The ability to adapt and grow during this time has been wonderful to witness and the children being back with their classmate and teachers on their allocated days has been beautiful. This week we continue with scheduled one day a week, unless students are children of essential workers or contact has been made with the school, they are welcome every day.
Learning Pack – When students are at school they are working from their Learning Packs. PLEASE make sure learning packs come in with students so they can continue with their work and so teachers can get completed work out and mark it.
Learning from home – Unfortunately we have been concerned to see some student’s work being returned with no learning having taken place at home. It is really important that students are attempting to complete home learning when at home. We really do appreciate the effort parents are taking in getting work complete where possible. We don’t want any students to fall behind so it is vital that school work is being attempted at home. Please contact your child’s teacher if you are finding this difficult.
