Due to the tremendous response we have begun to prepare to welcome 31 children to the 3-year old preschool program in August. In order to provide the best environment for these students, we will have a ratio of 10/1. We will have a teacher with two aides in this classroom when at full capacity to ensure the needs and safety of all students is met. We are fortunate that St. Mary School is financially healthy to allow the student-teacher ratio to be above the diocesan expectation. I am happy to announce that our current third grade teacher, Ms. McInerney, has accepted this new 3-year old preschool teacher position. Before Ms. McInerney came to St. Mary School she was the pre-kindergarten/preschool teacher at St. Kieran School in Chicago Heights for eight years. She began the 3-year old preschool program during her time at St. Kieran. She held full responsibility for the development of the curriculum, classroom set up, lesson plans, creation of teacher aids, educational games, and learning centers. She coordinated family functions for the program including open houses, orientations, singing programs, and year end events. Stations of the Cross Friday, March 17 th 9:00 a.m. GYM 3M & 4M
