Congratulations to the students who won the event. They will be the first to receive and have their name engraved on our perpetual trophy. Daffodil Day was also a success. Thank you to everyone who donated morning tea and to the SRC and helpers for organising the day. We raised $261.30 for Cancer Council. Unfortunately last week Brooke Brunskill was unable to make the trip out to TCS. She has rescheduled for Thursday 12th September. This Thursday 29th August we have Kendra from Brushwoods visiting. She will be discussing how oats are dehulled and the process of rolling oats. Students will be hands on in this process and have the opportunity to cook and look at the nutritional value. School photos are taking place tomorrow. Please ensure that students are wearing full school uniform either summer or winter, including a gold polo t-shirt. Students need to return their envelopes even if they aren't purchasing photos. Tomorrow filming will begin at TCS for the Access Programs 30th year. Filming will include interviews with Mrs Dillon, current and former students. We look forward to viewing the end product. Yesterday we had a visit from a representative of the RSPCA. She completed workshops with students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Students learnt about how to properly care for animals and how the RSPCA works to look after the welfare of all animals. SRC ran their handball competition last week and it was very well supported by students. Congratulations to Kolby Newham who took out first place and Jordan Ireland who came 2nd. SRC will look at running another one later in the year. Next week Year 10 students will begin Work Experience. We hope they all enjoy their time in the workplace and gain plenty of skills and knowledge. If your child/ren are missing any clothing/ property, there is a lost property box in the front foyer filled with property with no name. Please encourage them to check the box.
