The Barcode and price are hidden on the bottom of the magazine so the readership can take in the magazine and search all over the cover to find the price. This is seen in most magazines which really allow the audience to capture the magazine before thinking of putting it down.

The picture is a close up in a rectangular shape almost like a pocket sized photo for the audience. The writing at the bottom is bold and capital again this is noticeable. The fact that there’s an exclamation mark emphasises that sub heading. The colour used is purple which the theme of the magazine is. The bottom of the Subheading is written almost like a rhetorical question. This can be surprising as artists have many friends. This can intrigue the reader and take interest within article. Again this is a lighter shade of purple using girly colours which the reader

The masthead is found in the same position on each magazine this helps create a brand identity. The colour used in the masthead is a different shade to the rest of the magazine yet it’s bolder and noticeable with a white background covering each world. The sub sections lure the target audience with the saucy “bits and bobs” they managed to get off artists. This can be mostly about their past present or future. This also shows other artist included in this feature.

The puff provides information that entices the reader to look inside. The word “exclusive” grasps the audience as it allows the readership to feel unique as it’s only for their eyes. The puff is bright neon pink to grab attention of the audience. It is kept with the colour scheme of the magazine. The use of vocabulary is to make sure the target audience familiar with how trendy the magazine is with the target audience.

The small puff on the left side of the magazine is a cleaver technique as the audience always looks on the top left hand side of a page. The vocabulary is to fit the audience to ensure they feel as the magazine understands them and they can relate. The colours are bright and vibrant to ensure it stands out. This ensures attention towards the rest iof the cover.

The masthead is found in the same place each week this ensures the brand identity of the magazine. The colours again distinguish the brand identity yet also keeping with the target audience’s preference of colour. It is again on left hand side so it can be in the mind of the readership. Using “we” within the title ensures that the reader can feel a part of the magazine and have a sense of belonging. The symbolism of a heart instead of simply writing the word can create informal mood and language which relates towards the audience. This also links to the fact that the title is enclosed within a text bubble it uses the same language as the target audience would in a text. The title is short, sweet and cool.

The top of the masthead outlines what in inside of the magazine. The “uncensored” is written hand like. This can create an informal touch towards the magazine almost comforting the target audience.

The Slogan on the below of the masthead gives another implement that the magazine is centred on music. The rhyme is catchy and simple.

The feature article photo is used to advertise what type of bands and artist are included in the magazine. The concept of saying “Unseen Pics” gives the readership a special feel that they are exclusive. Using informal language also allows the readership to have a connection to the magazine. The use of “Bromance” and “4eva!” are both another slang term the magazine used to implement that the magazine offers what the target audience are looking for.

The puff featuring clothes which is in the next season offers advice on the latest trendy clothes for the summer. The bright colours give a more in season look giving the reader awareness on what items are too come within the magazine. The colour of the text featured within the puff has the same tone which keeps the magazines identity. It keeps to a colour scheme which is important so the magazine doesn’t have too many different colours. The title in pink again keeps in with the magazine colour scheme it’s also bold and capital so it can grab attention. The “sorted” is underlined emphasising that the magazine has everything you could ever need for summer. This is what the different items of clothes in the puff are portraying.

The magazine uses the target audience language so there’s a “connection” between another as well as making the audience feel comfortable. This is shown in the language used by “Boy, oi, oi!” The fact that the magazine is giving free posters of “fit” famous male artists instantly grabs all attention to the posters. The colours again are kept within the scheme. The writing is bold and capital so it’s

The two giant posters have been emphasised as they are for both female entertainment. However there isn’t much emphasis on the FREE posters. This is another way in which the target audience is attracted to the magazine.

The barcode and price are hidden to the right side of the magazine. This makes the target audience search the cover to find the price. This will allow them to have a review of the magazine and what there is to offer inside.

The artist featured on the front cover signifies the magazine celebrates Pop music. Jessie J is the main image of the magazine, on a white background which allows her to stand out. She’s facing towards the reader and making eye contact in a way that, wherever you wonder her eyes follow. This is a good advantage that the magazine has as it’s most likely to grad the target audience’s attention. Her posture is as if the kiss that she blew out is for the reader. The make up used on Jessie J is simple yet emphasising her features such as her eyes the dark eye liner and the lashes emphasise her eye colour which is attracting as she is looks like someone to aspire to be. Her lips are coated with a baby pink who is matching the scheme of colours used with the magazine. This is also seen on her nail colour.

Her pout is a very common pose that most of the readers use when taking a picture. This may suggest that even artists are like the readers. Her face is simple almost natural to her skin colour. Her hair is simply straight yet keeping her famous “bangs” almost like her signature hair style. However this was a “Cleopatra hair style” which she has incorporated into her own. This can indicate to the reader that simple is best. The simple attire that she is wearing is quiet casual and feminine, which shows that designer clothes are not always what artists have in their wardrobe. The hoops are another famous signature by Jessie J giving her identity to the magazine. With Jessie J as the main image the reader can get an idea that this month’s magazine has exclusivity to Jessie J.
