The lighting on the microphone did not

look professional, so here are the steps of

how I made it all the same colour

1)With the polygonal lasso tool I

highlighted what I wanted to replace the

line.

Spot the

difference!

I wanted to put a music logo in the magazine to show this magazines genre is

music I opened Photoshop to preform this process.

1. I clicked on custom shape tool in the tool bar, from

there I clicked on shape and then on the arrow

which opens up a list which containS one option

called ‘music’. I opened up this and then chose the

music note I wanted.

2. After it came up I resized it so that there will be less

unwanted space as possible but will still have a white

background to fit in with the rest of the logo.

3. Then I saved it so I could place it in InDesign.

As you see in number 8, when you upload pictures it may cover some writing but the way to deal with

this is right click and press ‘bring to font’ there's many other similar things you can do under this as well

e.g. ‘send to back

Here however I changed my logo as the music item that I used was

not appropriate for my genre. Where this one represents that of a

base and vibration , which both are key parts of hip-hop / rap.

There are always key featureS

every magazine should have.

1) An issue number- to indicate

how long this magazine has

been running for.

2) A bar code – so it can be

scanned.

3) The month – so purchasers

know whether this is the

most recent issue.

4) The price – so they the

consumer knows how much

it should cost and so

retailers do not put their own

price on it which may avoid

customers for me. The more

expensive a price the

smaller it should be – this

avoids them from seeing it

straight away, so that time

their persuaded to buy the

magazine by everything

else, this will not put them

off as much as it would if

they saw it straight away.
