Frontier Lifeline Hospital (Dr.K.M.Cherian Heart foundation) Mugappair gets

NABH accreditation.

Frontier Lifeline becomes the First super specialty Hospital in Chennai and fifth in the

entire state of Tamilnadu to receive the coveted NABH Accreditation.

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & health care Providers (NABH) is a

constituent board of quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation

programme for Health care organizations across the country. Frontier Lifeline Hospital

has received the official communication from QCIN (Quality Council of India) that the

hospital has successfully demonstrated the requirements of NABH standards and

therefore has been recommended for NABH hospital Accreditation. The NABH

accreditation of the hospital shall be effective from September 9, 2010 for three years.

Dr. Usha Raghavan Subramanyan, NABH Coordinator while thanking all the employees

for the excellent cooperation rendered during implementing ten standards and 534

objective elements of patient care in NABH, passed on the credit to Dr. K.M.Cherian,

Chairman & CEO whose continual support in all the quality endeavors made this dream a

reality. She noted that the pursuit of excellence is driven by committed leadership, team

spirit, dedicated employees and their continuous aspiration to improve. She also noted

that the NABH Accreditation is a great honor and a big reassurance of the quality of care

provided by the hospital. Frontier Lifeline Hospital faced the pre audit in December and

the final audit in June by a team of assessors who were drawn from various parts of India.

The assessors commended the organization for excellent systems in CCU, Cardiac care,

MRD, NABL Accredited lab and Blood Transfusion Services. They appreciated the top

management commitment and enthusiasm of the Quality team.

Dr.K.M.Cherian, Chairman & CEO said that he expects the foreign and local patients to

double in number after the NABH stamp of approval as NABH in turn is accredited by

ISQua or International Society for Quality in Healthcare. He said that being part of the
