FRONTLINE MIND

IT IS THE EMBODIED THINKING SKILLS OF THE RESILIENT ELITE THAT GOES BEYOND THE FRONTLINE

IT IS A CATALYST FOR WELLBEING THROUGHOUT LIFE

Participants who undertake Frontline Mind training will experience progressive development in which the embodied thinking processes of the psychologically resilient elite are developed and transferred, so that they can be used when chosen

Frontline Mind training develops reflexive, embodied thinking skills in professionals who have to deal with extreme pressure in the workplace

Individuals and teams who develop a Frontline Mind can learn to perform with clarity

They will learn how to shield themselves effectively against historical and present work and home-related stressors, in order to lead healthy, balanced lives

FRONTLINE MIND

Frontline Mind monitors individual and organisational resilience using ResilienceSCAN powered by SenseMaker®

ResilienceSCAN is a quickly deployable online service to gather experiences, observations, and lessons from employees to map the complex patterns of behaviour, attitudes, and perceptions related to individual and collective resilience, and organisational risks

The output of the ResilienceSCAN is statistical data backed by explanatory narrative. Numbers on their own are objective but are not persuasive. Anecdotes on their own can be persuasive but are not objective. ResilienceSCAN puts the two together and provides a powerful means to objectively measure resilience, and provide deep insight into risks and the health of any organisation

We use ResilienceSCAN to measure improvements in personal and organisational resilience as our training proceeds

SenseMaker® is used by KPMG, Pfizer, Kline Group, and the Australian and US Armies in Afghanistan

ResilienceSCAN is a collaboration between Prof David Snowden (director of the Cynefin Centre for Applied Complexity, Bangor University) and Prof Ian Snape (program director of Frontline Mind and the University of Melbourne)

ResilienceSCAN is highly suited to frontline personnel and organisations, and is used under agreement

OUR APPROACHDEVELOPING WISDOMCollective wisdom is often an untapped resource in teams. Our approach is to provide a supportive environment in which participants are encouraged to question, discover, explore, experience, and learn. We promote a willingness to respectfully challenge assumptions and to try new things

TRAINING PEOPLEHigh-performing individuals, teams, and leaders produce great results. We use a range of processes and models to effectively enable people to flourish. Everyone is different, every team is different, and we design our training to meet individual, team, and organisational needs

LEARNING PRACTICALLYThe learning process is as important as the knowledge. Many educators broadcast knowledge at people in the hope that it will in some way be taken up. Sometimes it is absorbed, more often it simply doesn’t go in. We approach this differently by designing an experience that leads to discovery. The discovery

moment then leads to generative learning that can be applied in the workplace, and often in other aspects of life

Our unique e-learning modules provide a deep learning journey that can be utilized multiple times as participants progress towards an embodied resilient mind of psychological resilience

TRANSFERRING SKILLSFrontline Mind enables organisations, teams and individuals to be self-sustaining. From starting points of discovery and generative learning, we make the process explicit so that our clients own the outcomes in their lives, and continually have access to the underlying process that led to the outcome. In this way, all personnel trained in Frontline Mind can apply and pass on their new skills within their organisation. This approach ensures independence for each trained group, and avoids dependency upon our facilitation, leading to a genuinely valuable long-term investment from all Frontline Mind programs
