INTRODUCTION It’s a speaking activity for learners aged 6-7. ( grade 1) It’s about four types of Fruit. (it’s important for the teacher to be

specific in teaching the topic for his/her pupils in this age) It’s very important to teach students the names of these types of

fruit. Speaking activity is very important for childern to learn because

they speak to the people around them in every day.

THE PURPOSE OF THE ACTIVITY:

The purpose of this activity is to teach the students the four specific types of fruit, and make them know their color and how it’s good for their health. Then , encourage them to speak about these types of fruit.

THE BENEFITS OF THE ACTIVITY:

Students will be able to talk about these fruit whether they like it or not and communicate with the teacher and other peers about it.

It will help students to identify these different types of fruit and to distinguish between them and even between their color such as apple which have three different colors.

Activities will motivate and encourage students to think and answer the questions.

INCORPORATING THE ACTIVITY IN THE LESSON

To incorporate the activity in the lesson: First, In the beginning of the lesson I will ask students if they know

any types of fruits. After the students participated and engaged in the topic, I will start to teach them the four types of fruits which are apple, orange, banana and strawberry with showing them the picture of each fruits. Then, I will ask the students to repeat each name of fruits after I said. After the students say the names of fruits correctly. Next, I will give them some exercise in order to check their understanding of the lesson. Finally, If any student made a mistake in solving the exercise , I will corrected directly in front of students in class.

SPEAKING ACTIVITIES:

First activity:

1- I will bring the color of fruits in flash card and ask students to say the names of fruits that have the same color (four specific fruits that are mentioned in class)

Red Apple and Strawberry

Banana and Yellow Apple

Orange

Green Apple

SECOND ACTIVITY:

2- I will give the pupils a description of each fruit and students names the fruit.

Descriptions Fruits name Whit on the inside, red, yellow or green on the outside. Around orange or yellow fruit. A long, thin fruit. A sweet, red fruit that starts with “s”.

FIFTH ACTIVITY:

 5- I will ask the student these questions: Which one of these four fruits is your favorite fruit? Why do you like this fruit?

Student must speak and participate in this speaking activity.
