Development of the

„Stryjno – Sad”Group

● 1998 - 17 horticultural farms

● - approx. 2.500 tons apples production

● - only one basic cold room for 100 ton

● - 0% apples in controlled atmosphere storage,

● - lack of the sorting machine

● 2002 - 42 horticultural farms

● - approx. 6.500 tons apples production

● - 20% apples in controlled atmosphere storage

● - purchase of a small (2 paths) sorting machine

● and establishment of the sorting department in

the farm building of one of the member of the group

Development of the „Stryjno -

Sad”Group

● 2003 - purchase and modernizing of storage building in

Kawęczyn, where new sorting and office

department were created

● 2006 - 72 horticultural farms

● - approx. 10.000 tons apples production

● - 60% apples in controlled atmosphere storage

● - investments due to transformation Producers

● - purchase of new sorting lines, packing lines,

forklifts etc.

● 96 horticultural farms

● 15.000 tons apples production

● 75% apples in controlled atmosphere storage

● Hi-tech sorting department with new presorting installation

● Packing department with 4 packing lines

● New common controlled atmosphere storage

3.600 tons (12 chambers - 300 tons each)

● Employment – 56 full time employees

● Constant cooperation with big supermarkets network at

home and abroad

Investments in PO „Stryjno - Sad”

● Extension of the sorting department -approx.6.500 m. sq.

● New production hall

● Construction of a new ULO storage for 3.600 tons

● New Hi-tech sorting line with 26 water channels

● 4 modern packing lines

● 2 gluing machine for cardboard boxes

● 16 forklifts

● 32.000 plastic bins

● Harvesting machines for producers

42.577.495,09 PLN ( ≈ 10,5 mln EURO)

Achievements by investments

● Improvement in quality of apples due to new cold storage

and plastic bins

● Ability to prepare large amount of apples to be ready for a

packing

● Increase range of apples thanks to new packing lines

● Possibilities to realize bigger contracts and deliveries

● Possibilities to attract new customers and increase PO

position on the market

The activities of „Stryjno Sad”

as a Producer Organization (PO)

● „Stryjno-Sad” achieved the status of PO

on 14th of November 2011

● providing constant development of the horticultural farms

belonging to the PO through the created infrastructure and

prepared operational programs (start in 2013)

● establish cooperation with other groups and organization for

fruits in Poland

● opportunities for cooperation with other organizations all

over Europe (EU)
