DESCRIPTION The first summer school for Inter-reli-gious studies and peacebuilding is organ-ised by three theological faculties: the Fac-ulty of Islamic Sciences of Sarajevo Univer-sity, the Catholic Theological Faculty of Sarajevo University, and the Orthodox Theological Faculty of Saint Basil of Ostrog in Foča - University of East Sarajevo.

The interdisciplinary nature of the summer school is reflected in that it is organised in the scientific fields of theology and peacebuilding. The applied charac-ter of the summer school is guaranteed by intro-duction of the academic field of peace-building as a multi-disciplinary, scientific, professional, axiological, ethical and prac-tical discipline to complement the theo-logical prism in an inter-religious social con-text.

The lecturers are distinguished pro-fessors, experts with internationally rec-ognised references for the corresponding modules. In addition to lectures, this pro-gramme also includes various extra-curric-ular activi-ties such as field trips, social events and activities, visits to religious

insti-tutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and excursions to famous places and historical landmarks.

The fee includes access to course materi-als, a certificate of participation, tickets, single dormitory room with shared bath-room, daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Summer School is open to those who would like to acquire knowledge and understanding of Orthodox, Roman Cath-olic and Islamic fundamental texts, dogmas and social sciences, and their application within inter-religious dialogue and cooperation and understanding of the nature of peace in the teaching of Christianity and Islam.

CREDITS INFO Students will participate in one course per week. The participants will receive a certifi-cate of participation after completion of the programme. Course examination results will be listed in your official academic transcript. Completion of Summer programme in Interreli-gious Peace Building is designed to be equivalent to:– 4-6 ECTS (2-3 US credits) per two-week session

Cancellation of the registration

Cancellation of registration before June 10, 2019 may result in full fee refund. Refunds will not be available after June 10, 2019 or in cases where applicants fail to attend the course.
